Course Curriculum Overview

Most of the staffs have zero knowledge but some staffs r very experienced and knowledgeable. Exams arent very frequent. Every day there will be different form of fun. Library is the biggest stress buster.

Placement Experience

Out university is only best for its placement oppurtunities. If u wanna get placed in campus interview then join Amet dg courses. In the second semester u will be placed if u dont have arrears in first semester.

College Events

Cultural events take place every year in the even semester. Symposiums will be conducted. Cash prices will be given to both technical and non technical events. We can go howmany times ever we want to other Colleges to participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is reasonable for higher middle class. 1. 75 lakhs almost everyone can pay. But for dg courses it is 3.45 lakhs and it is not affordable to everyone. But if u take dg courses and you have no arrears. Then ur life is settled

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarships are not given based on your academics. In amet , if the student's father is a fisherman then a sum of rupees 10000 will be given. Similarly if you are the first graduation 10000 rupees will be given.

Campus Life

Conferences take place often , worshops take places often , going to other Colleges for participation is well encouraged , poor sports , academics is well and good. Every year they spend 2.5 crores for innovation projects.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel fees 80000 compulsory for Dg non compulsory for non DG. BUS FARE 30000 optional. Other fees 35000 like exam and arrear fees optional. Its better to take room outside than College hostel. Dg hostel is waste.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

No ragging, They will behave as brothers and sisters. No fighting between juniors and seniors until they disrespect each other. All seniors are so gentle and they wont harm anyone on personal intentions.

Admission

I have pre booled my seat during 12th of schooling. I have a huge passion on sailing. Thats the main reason for choosing Amet. I will study 4 years of mechanical engineering and then i will do Gme for sailing.

Faculty

Faculties of amet university is the biggest advantage. When we ask a doubt some teachers hesitate to repeat the answer. Some teachers use non smoke tobacco products inside the class room like cool lip.

Beyond the classes: My College Experience

Placement Experience:

Our college is well known for its placements. Almost many MNC companies like Amazon,TCS, visit our college and recruit the top performing students.Students are instructed to do 30 days of internship in remote,hybrid or industrial online before their 6th semester.During the 7th semester, students become eligible to attend the placements. The highes package offered previous year was 21 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 5 lakh per annum. Here students receive 3 options 1. Placement 2. Masters 3. Government Exams . As far off noe, 98%percentage of students who opt for placements get placed. I want to get placed after finishing my degree.

Nice environment, Student support system, living in a whole different world.

I applied to a few colleges like Anna University and SRM but got confirmed admission only at AMET University. I chose AMET because of its strong focus on maritime studies and practical training, which other colleges lacked. I faced rejection elsewhere mainly due to lower entrance exam scores. AMET’s admission process requires passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, and accepts scores from TNEA and other engineering entrance exams, with TNEA being the most preferred. Structured comfort and seafaring discipline.

First off all, i didn't apply to any other colleges, then for addmission, they took very long to intimate the dates, again and again I was calling one of the faculty and was asking for dates. Management is responsible for providing information.to the students. While admission, first they asked to pay an advance amount of rs. 25000/- from the course fees i.e rs. 300000/- to confirm my seat. Then they asked to pay hostel fees of rs. 40000/- which was not available then they asked to pay hostel fees of rs 50000/- to confirm the hostel.
