The course seemed a sweet deal when i was trying to get a admission. After that it's been downhill ride. The course syllabus is so fractured that we dont get basics or detailed studies of any subject. Rendering the education almost useless for pursing further studies or even a job!

College doesn't provide internships but if you get one on your own merit, they wil boast and show it as if they got it for you. And the placements are kinda wonky. Like they offer salea placements to science students.

The cultural aspects of Ruia is pretty good, its all controlled organized and handled by student body only. Students are part of different committees which plan and execute our Feast Utsav Arohan and other events like rose day etc.

The fee structure used to be feasible but from this year it suddenly spiked up a lottt. Last year my fee was 27k this year it was 47k. We tired to fight this absurd increase but were unable to do anything to lower it

There isn't any particular scholarship. But some students like only girl child, have to oay only like 10% of the total fees.

The lab here has instruments and Chemicals we require, it's just that they are from the stone ages. We are forced tp work witj expired chemicals and stuff. Tolerance for anything is high in our college. We crowned a transwoman as queen in our freshers event. We have been mentioned in the newspaper about this too. Overall no judgement is faced by gay or trans people or by people of any religion or cultural background.

There is no facility for hostel. The college doesn't provide accommodation, even to people coming from other states. Students usually have to look for 3rd party pgs which have a varing cost from 7k to 10k and up depending on the amenities.

I haven't met any alumni yet. Expect the teachers in my department who also used to be students at the same college.

Firstly I had to fill the a form in the Mumbai University site. Then i had to take a printout of that form and go get the form for the course i wanted to study. After filling this new form. I submitted both of them at a given date and waited fot the merit list. After my name was in the merit list, i submitted some documents, paid the fees and got the admission.

The faculty is incompetent to be honest. For example we are going on a IV on 26 and they finalised everything yesterday they were jusy chilling til now. They don't know how to teach or engage children.
