Entrance Preview
I worked hard and got AIR-83.I was shocked but at the same time happy too.I got the course that I wanted to pursue.
Course Curriculum Overview
To be honest, IIT-DELHI is the best college I think among all IIT's . The faculties are just amazing with a great experience.
Internships Opportunities
During my internship I was really frightened as my mates where getting selected in good companies with a heavy stipend. In my college at that time companies like- IBM, Wipro,Microsoft,Amazon,etc came.I don't exactly remember but companies offered stipend of Rs.60k-85k per month.
Placement Experience
Almost all my friends were placed in good companies. IBM,Wipro,Microsoft,Amazon,etc. and offered Rs 60k-85k.
College Events
There are mainly two college festivals:- Rendezvous and Trystis.I personally like Trystis. It is the annual science and technology festival which is held in February and March.Tryst has featured a number of guest lecturers including Jeff Lieberman, Nathan Seiberg, Kazutaka Kurihara, Anil Kakodkar, and Montek Singh Ahluwalia.
Fees and Financial Aid
There was no scholarship exam as such. I had no idea about this.
Campus Life
Spending your four years in IIT is just amazing. Gender ratio was a major issue at that time.Parents refused girls for higher education and staying in hostels so it was almost like 1:100 ratio. I really loved to play basketball. IIT DELHI had very large football ground and gyms. Personally speaking I didn't got time from academics to explore much. Many events are held during frequent intervals such as debates, tech fests etc.
Hostel Facilities
I stayed in a small room with my roomate who was from U.P. There was a common toilet which was shared between two rooms. Food quality was average. There was no table or chair.There was a single bed which we used to share and study.
Alumni/Alumna
Before joing the college I met with an Alumni of that college, It was pleasure talking to him. Seniors are very helpful.When you need them they are always there for you.
