Remarks

University is really doing good in every field. Their efforts only making university as India's largest growing university. This is also helpful for the students studying there.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course Curriculum is designed in such a way that you will have a rough idea about the topic before getting started and can get polished further as well. Technical education and personality development go side by side from day 1. Different types of activities will be conducted to enhance your personality and make you stand strong in the field of competition.

Placement Experience

4

The placement coming to the university is really having good quality and packages as well. The department, DCPD and chancellor work really hard to make the student placement ready and to bring more and more good companies for the placement. Big Companies like Capgemini, Indigo airlines, TASL come every year for the placement. Start-ups such as aviotron also come to placements.

College Events

4.5

Different kind of events will be celebrated here in the university including cultural, technical and management festival. Yearly about 5 DJ nights will be arranged. Technical festival such as tech fest, cu fest, AIU, space philia had been conducted every year. A lot of students participates in this and get rewarded. Cultural fest also celebrated in that different cultures of India and other countries will be showed up.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As the department is government-affiliated so the fees will be much less as compared to other private universities. When I took the admission the semester fees were 75000 and hostel fees 75000 yearly. I generally used to pay through an online portal which will reflect the status of payment after 3 days of payment. There are examination fees of 1500 rupees. No extra charges required to secure admission course.

Fees and Financial Aid

I only got on 12percentage. I got a 50% scholarship on semester fees for the entire year. The scholarship will get continued if you CGPA will we maintain at least till 7.5 every year. I never opted for an educational loan.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is really really good at the university. Everyone is really friendly. You can roam inside the campus till 7 o'clock. There are around 45000 students in the university with about 60% are male and 40% female gender ratio. There are lots of students from different backgrounds, different places and different countries as well. So there is really vast diversity running inside the campus.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Good facilities provided. Every warden worked responsibly. Facilities including food were also good. Different types of food provided with a week timetable. Room were cleaned in every 2 days. Cleanliness maintained on high priority. Every time while going out for a day out the permission will be taken. And for a night out call made to the parents on cuims registered no. So the security was really good.

Alumni/Alumna

Far from home, there are only senior who helped a lot in terms of studies and competition. They are the real backbone after faculty. The bond we share with senior is really great and there is no ragging at all. So everyone is so friendly and helpful in every aspect.

Admission

I came to know about this university through one of my friends while studying in South India as an intermediate student. Since childhood, I got enthusiasm about aerospace engineering and had the desire to work in this challenging field. I found out that Chandigarh University is one of the best universities in terms of education and development with a high rate of placement.

Faculty

4.5

There are about 20 lectures for the aerospace department having PhD done in aerospace field with at least a year of experience. The average age of lectures will be 30 almost. The faculty have core knowledge about the subject they are teaching and have particular labs for practical experience. The doubts will be clarified at the point and you can interact more if you need more knowledge.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
