Overall experience as an aerospace student in Chandigarh University

Lots of assignments and other work but these are also helpful for us.

The general fees for Aerospace is Rs.2.41 LPA but I have scored more than 90% in my 12th board exams so I have got 50% scholarship. Also there is a CUCET test on the basis of which you can avail upto 100% scholarship. For securing your seat, you have to pay Rs.10,000 and rest of the fees you can pay later. Also there is Rs.2000 security and Rs.2500 examination fees per semester. For SC/ST category there is 100% scholarship. During the course you have to join minimum one academic club whose charges are Rs.100 to be a member.

The semester fees would be 1,20,500 and yearly fees would be 2,41000. The registration fees would be 1000 as a student have to give cucet exam(chanigarhs university common entrance exam). And you have to pay the full tuition fees as a admission after clearing the exam , talking about the scholarship if a student gets any percentage in the cucet exam they can avail the scholarship as per their percentage . If it's some around 35 percentage they can get off around 22 thousand, also if a student wants to continue the scholarship they should maintain the criteria of the college that is attendance above 75 percentage.

The courses offerded by Chandigarh University, Mohali Punjab is totally on scholarship based via CUCET test organised by the university. According to the score card scholarship is provided to the students. In 2021 I took the admission in the BE Aerospace engineering that time fee structure was 90,000/- per semester and after scholarship of 30% I am paying about 63,000/-. CU provide various scholarships like defence scholarships and punjab native scholarships etc.

The course i picked is upcoming future and the university is also looking for students in the field. From classroom to cockpit: An comprehensive review of Aerospace Engineering degree at Chandigarh University

Tution fees that I paid at my time was 90,000 with a 15% scholarship that did not last long because the university decided to fail me in Apllied Mathematics-III. I might have scored low marks but not that I could have failed, they cancelled my request for rechecking for some reason because they try to cancel the scholarship for each student. Apart from the tuition fees which is now 1,10,000 for a semester, examination fee is to be taken care of each sem which is 2500 and a first time security deposit of 2500 is required in the first semester. So if one loses their scholarship or to assume that one never gets it the whole thing will cost 8,80,000. Hostel fees is around 1,20,000 for a year but that's just a rough figure. Financial aid is available for families having income less than 2.5 lacs, they have lots of paperwork for that and students have to maintain 7.5 CGPA. Campus employment is pathetic. You have to take care of internships and placement your self. They can only guide.

Chandigarh University - My experience

Not enough time is given between exams. We are always in a constant pressure of the upcoming exams.

The scholarship scheme is fantastic in the university. You just have to give a simple entrance exam and based on your score you can earn a handsome amount in scholarship. Well, other than this, you can also avail different scholarships based on your academic performance, background and sports abilities.

Classes without AC, DCPD, Extra subjects

In my time the course fee was ?85000+?2000 exam fee. Total cost is around 8-9 lakhs. There are many scholarships for students such as defence scholarship, merit based or on the basis of national level test etc. I've not taken any campus placement because our college have a special division called DCPD for the placement for which you have to pay ?10000 and then you are allowed to sit for campus placement and if you don't pay the amount or don't choose DCPD you will not get any campus placement.

Various scholarships are there the academic wise after writing the entrance exam. After every year the student shoukd maintain 7.5 cgpa to maintain the scholarship too. If any one arrier in any sem the scholarship is canceled. The fees struxtures differs from 80k to 2lakhs per semester

Chandigarh University in a nutshell

The fees vary from course to course and for me the course fees at the time of joining was 1,06,000 and the scholarship can be availed by your 12th grade or by the score of your entrance exam and can get scholarship if you are from reserved classes. CU also provide great placement for students.
