Remarks
College has got a vibe in it. Large campus but the only drawback is that architecture has got no block and so we and 2nd years are given a classroom in the civil dept while 3rd years kn mechanical dept so and so. For conducting any programme we hav got no dept for ourselves and thats a huge negetive.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is soo strict. There are days when we actually dont sleep bt still its fun we nerd not sit infront of a book all day atleaast. Architecture is not a bookish type of learning its more like getting in to the society and history to get along with the things we study in real. Exams are all like testing our capability to express our true knowledge about the subject. Projects qnd sheets all give us a hectic schedule but still we can find a vibe in it.
Placement Experience
Placements are not there for architecture in our college. During our 4th year,we needa find ourselves a firm to work with by showing up our resume and portfolio. Internship is completely done by ourselves ,college has no involvemnt.
College Events
Many workshops, techno cultural fests, RITU and keli in alternate years, intercollege fests, blood donation camps, onam, christmas, valentines, keralapiravi, womens day, republic day, independence day, sports, football, fashion show, ritu and keli are high budget events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure comparatively low unlike private colleges. Its almost 10 thousand or below where private colleges take 80,000 plus each year. Other than this our instruments are also very expensive and then travel charges are also there.
Fees and Financial Aid
E-grants, CH muhammed koya scholarship. Many of our seniors have availed E grants scholarship for the low income students. They are highly supporting the students financially. Hostel fee can be paid as well as the rest can be used for buting the stationaries as well.
Campus Life
Sports and all are conducted every year by the college union bt most of the students stay back from those extracurricular activities bt still there are students who actively participate in all of those. Both girls and boys are equally involved in all activities.
Hostel Facilities
I live in the college hostel, very good infrastructure it has, a normal spacious bedroom with three beds and 3 tables. Bathrooms are common for a floor. 6 toilets and 6 bathrooms. 2 sinks are provided at each end of the floors. Hostel rent is 1850 for 6 months plus a 2500? each month for food.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are all so cool. They called up us and interacted with us getting to know each other. They asked about why we chose architectecture leaving behind all other oppurtunities and what are our thoughts about architecture as a subject and all. They were very friendly towards us.
Admission
I chose architecture over other courses as it was more like suiting me personally,i really liked drawings and travelling so chose archi. The admission process is like this, first i applied for NATA examination and then applied for keam, then wrote nata exam from my allotted exam centre and later result came first the nata score then the keam rank. Then a ranklist was published and according to the merit and caste reservation i was alloted to the aforementioned college.
Faculty
Faculties are so well educated most of them graduated from IITs,SPA,LPU and even from London. They are all soo deep in to the subject and very focused to teach the students the beauty if architecture.
