Remarks

No workshops are happening in our college. Since it is design college we should be having workshops regularly to improve ourselves. The funds coming inorder to conduct festivals and renovate college should be visible to students. Some departments students are lacking proper training because of the faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very good. We do not have exams. We have to submit our works in front of a jury and we have to explain our work and they will ask questions and they will mark us according to our presentation and work.

Placement Experience

Its not that good. We have to work on our own and create a good portfolio inorder to plan for a good career in this field. The ideologies of the college are little outdated and with that we won’t be reaching a good level.

College Events

Only spectrum as a college fest. No other fest are celebrated in the college because we don’t have the permission to do so. People in other colleges even dress up as a part of halloween celebration and we don’t.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is expensive. The fees gets increased every year by 10% and the quality of teaching and education provided is going down day by day. It’s around 225000 for a year. And other expenses are also really high!

Fees and Financial Aid

There is nift development scheme, which is provided by the nift. Then theres the scholarships provided by the central and state government. It is based on our family income. But it is very hard to get.

Campus Life

Extracurricular is just for name sake. Male to female ratio is very unbalanced. Its like there are 4 males and 26 females in a class to be precise. There is no campus life because of this reason. Basically its not good.

Hostel Facilities

There’s no hostel for men. The ladies hostel is also not upto the mark. Because the rooms are really small. The hostel is just an adjustment. They don’t even provide a good wifi. No good food in the canteen.

External Expense: Rs. 10000 - Rs. 15000

Alumni/Alumna

The college provides less interactive sessions between the seniors and the juniors. So students doesn’t know each other. The passed out student are hard to reach. Yes they are very helpful. They helf in getting placements.

Admission

Had to give a national exam and after we pass the written exam there will be a situation test to get in. So we have to choose a centre among the sixteen centres in the country and appear for the exam. The we will be allotted seats according to our ranks.

Faculty

Majority of the Faculties dominate the students to a wide extent, so theres less interaction with We lack faculties that inspire. We students are afraid to mingle with the faculties. The student faculty connection should be better.

Placement Experience:

students get elligible for campus placement in the fourth year. Although have heard some students say to focus more on skills as working in a studio will be better than placement and have also not heard such good news about the amount of students getting placement. my plans too is to focus on skills more than the grades as that would be more helpful and is whats needed more for the career i am going for, instead of the marks i got on writing theory in my answer sheets

Placement Experience:

Speaking about placements I have very little knowledge about it as I am in first year, but after engaging with some really helpful seniors there has been a good hype in the campus placements and I've also heard very reputable companies have accepted students from this college. Also to mention the most important part of this college is it has a 99% placement program which really stood out to me, while talkin to the administrative staff my interest piqued when I heard there was a student who got 12lakh per annum placement opportunity

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I wanted to opt for something related to marketing side or more like something that requires digital work. The faculty:student ratio is 1:40 in my batch. My faculty is very knowledgeable. I have a good experience in teaching (not all but mostly) with them. The term exams are timely scheduled and it is not easy to pass a exam but it is not also very difficult. If you work consistently throughput the semester you would score a good grade in the end.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligiblr for campus placements from 4th year. But you can get PPOs if are good. You can get exciting internships from 2nd year. Very big companies like Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Amazon, Flipkart etc come for placements. A total of 1300 jobs were offered in 2023. 260 PPOs and 30 international offers very also there.

NIFT Delhi - A total walkthrough

I had applied for CEED and didn't qualify. And in NIFT exam I secured the rank 30 and got nift delhi as its the best campus of all over nift. I took this campus. You need to complete any bachelor's background for this exam. They only accept nift entrance scores. Admission experience is pretty smooth as everything is online. And cutoffs varies every year. I didn't apply for any other colleges. I just got to know about nift only. I just wanted to pursue my career in arts and fashion. Also if I would have known about NID I might applied for that only. Because the product designing I'm doing here is way better there than here. Also to get into NIFT Delhi's B.Des. (Accessory Design) program, you'll need to ace the entrance exam, which includes a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and a General Ability Test (GAT). Life in NIFT

Nift is a government College and the fee for it is the least compared to the other fashion colleges. I didn't not apply to even a single other college since I thought I'll just give it a try and fortunately I got in in the first go itself. But I did apply for the uceed exam , my score was 50 marks less and I couldn't make it for that exam . The uceed exam was way tricky than the nift entrance. Nift has a simple admiss Process, you apply for the exam. You give the CAT and GAT exams which are scheduled on the same day itself of 2hrs and 3hrs respectively. Cat is the drawing exam and the gat is for the science maths gk social science etc knowledge test. After you pass this exam then you get selected for the situation test which is a studio based test where you get the materials and 3hrs and you have to then make something with the give material and the provide topics. Then you get a rank Accor to which you sit for the counselling and get the admission in one of the 19 campus in india...Read More
