Remarks

Has a good infrastructure with lots of trees and plants. Natural lighting is available so no need of artificial lighting Doesn't have an elevator. So it would be a problem for people in wheel chair. Less parking facilities

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is research oriented and application oriented. There are frequent labs and exams(both for labs and theory). It helps in maintaining a hectic situation for students. But the questions in exams should be answered in such a way that there is also important to the path not only for the answers.

Placement Experience

4

There are good placements and job opportunities as far as mechanical engineering is considered. All the students who had no back papers has got a placement. The main recruiter is Tata Consultancy Services. The college doesn't directly provide any internships but the college has many connections with companies which provides internships.

College Events

3

There is a cultural festival called melange conducted in our college every fourth year and it's going to happen this year. There is a tech fest next year. As I'm a first year student I haven't experienced any of the fests so I don't know much about it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

. Admission fee 3000 . PTA fund at the time of admission 3000 . Tution fees 8500 per year. Bus fees 2000 per year. University registration 1700 Per semester . Exam fees almost 3500 for a semester . Rs 500 for revaluation and rs 500 for supplimentary exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about any scholarships given by the college. As it's a government college only scholarships by government are given here. and I think there are scholarships from various alumni Associations and all but it starts from 2nd year.

Campus Life

5

In Mechanical Engineering the boys-girls ratio is 59:4. Its common in Mechanical Engineering. In other regards students has a variety of categories of people. And yes there are many workshops conducted in the college. There are many sports activities conducted here. Both intercollegiate and intracollegiate matches of football, cricket, basketball, etc are conducted. And there is an annual sports meet also. The labs are awesome. They're in good conditions.

Hostel Facilities

4

As the hostel seats are few. I got myself as a PG. There the rent is 6000 ? per person including food but no laundry. The rooms are shared by three persons. The room is somewhat okay. There is an attached bathroom with the room also.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful and friendly. There is no ragging at all. We can approach them with any doubt at any time. Also the alumnis are very helpful. They bring placements from the companies to which they're posted.

Admission

I wrote an entrance exam named KEAM. The authorities of CEE-Commissioner for Entrance Examinations equalised the scores in the entrance examination and the 12th marks and added and based on the marks a rank list will be published. Admission to the college is based on the rank list;those who have lower ranks will have higher priority. I could have chose Computer Science and Engineering which has more demand, but I chose Mechanical Engineering because I wanted to a mechanical engineer.

Faculty

4

All the teachers are experts in their subjects. Almost everyone has a phd from IITs or NITs. All the faculties are very friendly and they'll repeat every single word for even a single student to understand.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

I chose this course because the curriculum covers key subjects like Python, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Deep Learning right from the early semesters. The inclusion of electives such as IoT, Cloud Computing, and NLP made it future-relevant and versatile.

Placements are really good. Since college is related to ISRO maximum students with cgpa above than 7 are elligible for ISRO interviews and are selected based on their performance. Apart from ISRO many campanies like Texas Instruments, UTS, Mercedez , also come here for recruuitment. Many also opt for M.tech and MBA after graduation

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Reviewed on May 11, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.
