Remarks

One of the best medical colleges in India. With all international level of services being provided. Everything at its best seen in this campus. The campus is great with a very beautiful ambience and climate.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Good course curriculum under rguhs. University exams totally 4 in number. Course duration of 4 and a half year. Good scope for research and all extra curricular activities. Adequate clinical postings.

Placement Experience

5

Great placements available. Most of the students are placed in the same hospital as soon as they complete their internship. Internship program is also very highly reputed and well organised. One year of internship compulsory

College Events

5

Extra curricular events are highly encouraged. Autumn muse, one of the great medical college fests conducted every year at John's. Sports and culturals are held with great support. Fests are regularly held

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. When I joined yearly fees were 4 lakhs but currently increased to nearly 7. Hostel fees of each year nearly 1 lakh including mess bill. First year additional near 1 lakh as admission fees. Totally expenses around 25 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Various kinds of scholarships are offered in the college which are mostly merit based. I've been using loan provided by the Indian Bank in cooperation with the college authorities. They give loan in a special scheme without security.

Campus Life

5

Sports are the best thing here. Sports complex is highly developed with all kinds of sport activities encouraged. Hockey, football, throwball, volleyball, basketball, badminton, tennis, cricket everything being available.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels are clean and with all required facilities. All the students are allotted rooms. Initially double sharing rooms which are later replaced by single sharing rooms in second year. All facilities are provided.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni association is well developed. They provide different scholarships for the students and also conduct regular meetings to discuss about the welfare activities and charity works of the college. Very useful.

Admission

Through neet all india Medical entrance. Then applied online through kea(karnataka entrance authority). Then underwent verification and allotment according to rank list. Gave special option for this college.

Faculty

5

Great faculties. Very experienced, knowledgeable and helpful facilities. Very specialised and each student is allotted to separate faculties for overall guidence. Best faculties available with high standard of teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very comprehensive and relevant for exams but not for real world applications. I feel let the parts of body I was specially fascinating so I like anatomy very much and we also got a very good teacher, the curriculum is very good for examinations however the real wall applications of this curriculum is very little, they should be more real life applications and whatever the latest technology than studies are happening the student should get the latest info about them, timing between two exams in an internal semester should be a little more such as a day or two because we do not get time to prepare the subjects curriculum very well for the examination.

There is no such special curriculum just i want to be a doctor so i chosed mbbs. It's a very good curriculum as we have both book knowledge and practical knowledge at same time as we have to go hospital in morning to see cases qnd at evening to learn about it. There is no such improvement is required. We don't have to give soo much exam but the syllabus we have to cover its not much

Same curriculum as the NMC is followed . In the beginning ears there wont be much exposure clinically like any other hospitals later on in 3rd amd 4th year there is more clinical exposure and patient interaction. According to me the exam level of 1st year is a bit tough as it is a changing phase from 12th to college and everything is new later on we get adjusted and find it easy and will understand how to phase the exam and how it is different from the previous exams of 11th or 12th . Only one exam will be for a academic year which includes the whole syllabus of that year
