It was parents' decision and I just came to accept the course gradually It's during the internship we actually learn what it actually takes to be a doc More faculty to students ratio may help improvement The exam and it's timings are well planned

Intership is done by the college only and it's must experience for medical students as realtime interaction with patients takes place there only and it's hectic And the stipend is very low 15k pm for the work done

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee are supposed to be paid in full or by installments If you are having difficulties in paying they will give relaxation on the payment And also there is student scholarships for financial week

Campus Life

College holds cultural festivals every year and it's called Autumn Muse and it's the biggest campus festival in Bangalore They are usually done in the autumn season as the name suggests And there is also an annual sports and cultural meet also

Admission

One has to pass neet with high marks to enter the college I had 610 marks in neet 2020 and I just barely got inbut for catholic students there is more seats so they can get in more easily and there is no nri seats and there is special quotas for different categories

There is enough facility members to teach us and guide us as is it's medical College hospital the doctors often are the one taking classes and they're very interested in teaching us and honest atleast most of them, their methods of teaching is also very effective and they divide students among different facilities so it becomes more of an interactive Classes

A lot of cons than pros

Course Curriculum Overview:

CBME curriculum :- Competency based medical education is being followed here. That is what they say but when exams are announced they give portions which have not even been taught. The curriculum is not of much use. Major improvements have to be done like letting the students read the topic and then discuss the topic can be done. iPad access in class is not allowed in our classes. If seen they will confiscate it and never give it back.

Remarks:

Since its a new college it is not well recognized by common people and has a common misconception that its a new college so there is no facilities which is just a prejudice. And hospital doesnt have many patients as like in govt setup.

St John's College of Nursing

For the course I applied only to St John's and CMC Vellore. The admission process in this college includes applying for the KCET which is the admission portal for Karnataka colleges. Based on your marks and a interview you'll be selected. there is no chance of recommendation. The eligibility criteria is you should be 12th pass with bio science. The cutoff based on the recent admissions is above 90%. I was accepted to the college before the entrance exam for CMC Vellore that's why I chose to go here.
