Remarks

The college is real good as we get to experience various cultures. As we get students from other states like harayana. The faculty is helping and lovable. The campus needs real improvement the hostels are broken. The food in mess can be improved. The campus is large enough still have lots of empty spaces. A single ground for all sports. Mess is fine. The hostel timmings for girls is not comfortable. The timmings are of 7 o clock which is totally wrong as they have right to roam in campus whenever they feel fine!

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The Course curriculum is just fine. We have here 4. 5 year course followed by an year of internship! We also have the semester system. Exams do happen once in an year. The exams are composed of written paper and followed by the viva and the practicals.

Placement Experience

2.5

As a medical college it is. There is nothing such as companies coming to the campus. But yes after the 4. 5 year of course we do get an year of internship. this is the best part of the mbbs course as we get to study real time patients. The stipend we get is awful. We only get rs. 9000 as stipend which is inaccurate for a medical proffesional! We study this hard to and still get paid less than an unskilled labourer!

College Events

2

Till now it has been 6 months here and no as such event has been celebrated here. We have been expecting freshers. And still haven't been given any. Feb is expected to be a sports month. Then later in the year we completing 100 years of our college so a huge fest is said to be organised as such!

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a goverment college the fee is totally feasible for a middle man! The fee here in gmc asr is 80000 pe annum. Which is just ok but goverment colleges of some other stated charge lesser than what we have here. Some collegws from delhi charge just about rs. 1000 pe annum too! So it could get a little less fee. But what we have is too fine!

Fees and Financial Aid

Being in a medical college and as i have studied in a punjab board school i have heard of scholarships that was to be given academic laurels. But in college i haven't heard of any. Being a goverment college the fee already is quite affordable!

Campus Life

2

The gender ratio is her just perfect. Its about 1:1. The student assosiation is also active. Fest each year is organised. We often get to experience hospitals for real life health services. Cpr and various other things are too taught to us.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are really good. Though there have been a strict non ragging committe working out. Still the interaction with seniors have been just perfect. The help us with th academics by marking our books and helping us clear our examinations.

Admission

So there is this a hard competitive exam called the NEET in which in the year 2019 about 15 lac students appeared. Then clearing the exam in general category with 569 marks was tough too. Then going through the councelling procedures was hectic! Then after the first councelling was online second was a walkin councelling in Faridkot GMC. Then getting a seat in the college finally made it!

Faculty

2.5

The teachers are really qualified. The anatomy department HOD dr. Ravikant is a real good teacher infact my best. The clarity of concepts he has is just perfect. Being a first year student we have only 3 subjects. So as to my knowledge till now being in a professional college is just the best thing u can get!

Mbbs study is bit tough but you can cope up with it if you've good gompany to enjoy the phase of life. The curriculum is bit tad and vast. You need to work hard and smart to achieve it. Everyone have differ style for studying and everyone should deal with it their own. Don't see others and compare yourselves with them!

The new curriculum is too good because now its baaed upon competencies a medical studtent should achieve after graduating, which is necessary so indeed it prepare us for the real world applications The teaching method now used is mostly on ppt's which can be changed to a better mode like using boards to engage student in a better way according to me And the exams ,wether its formative assessment or send ups or the final exams are planned very correctly so that a student can prepare for the finals in a way that it doesn't build up too much pressure on the students
