One of the best in India

One of the best institution in India if not the best. The infrastructure, facilities, faculties are exceptionally good. It also gives very nice social impression which nowadays is very integrated part of life. Also if someone utilities their stay in IITKGP they are meant to have good and bright future.

Actually the course is very much focused to aid research programs, and not will not help much for core civil placement.If some want to carry out doctoral research program in India or abroad then the curriculum is exceptionally good.There is two major exam, one is mid semester and second one is end semester apart from class assignment, home assignment and class tests.

Normally, placements and internships are provided in India and as well as in abroad.They are exceptionally good.But most of those are offered for B.Tech students.For my particular course the placement is offered but internships are not generally offered.Even if internships offered, that will be purely academic internship not industrial internship.

Spring Fest- Biggest techo- management fest in Asia.Students from over 150 colleges take praticipation in different events that are organized.Also, different pop star, music sensation or foreign djs and music bands came to perform. Megalith- Biggest techo-management fest for civil engineering in India.

Admission and 1st semester fees- 55k that includes institute fees, admission fees, hostel rent fees and mess fees. Rest 3 semester- 42k per semester. So, total around 1.8lacs for 2 years.You have to pay the fees at a time at the start of semester, so sometimes it is difficult.

For M.Tech MHRD gives scholarship of 12000 per month for 2 years.Here, very good loan facilities are available.There is branch of SBI and PNB.In the admission time they offers different kinds of loan scheme.

The bad thing of any IIT is gender ratio is very skewed.That 'very' terms means really bad situation.For this IIT authority are considering a proposed of seat reservation for Females.There all kinds of cultural societies are there kind drama club, flim society etc.Sports facilities are state of art level.There is a humongous gym for the students apart from gyms in hostels.In here all the bright minds of India come, the tolerance situation normally does not arise.

I am allotted to Lal Bahadur Stasri Hall of Residence which the biggest hostel in Asia.It has capacity to account 2000 students.It has its own cricket field,football field, basketball court, badminton court and volleyball court within hostel premises.Hostel rent fees is 12k per semester and mess fees around 15k per semester that includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon tiffin and dinner.

Alumnis are all across the globe.They are very helpful in getting foreign jobs and internships.They are really helpful.Also, IITKGP maintains a very strong relations to its alumnis.Apart from foreign, in the alumni network in the country itself is very mind blowing.

I got admission through the GATE examination.After successfully qualifying in GATE, you have to fill up the admission form.They will offer you admission on the basis of GATE SCORE through online admission platform COAP.For IITKGP there is no interview for Civil Engineering admission unlike IITB or IITK.

Almost every facility is very good in teaching and also in mentoring about the concerned course.They have exception knowledge in their field, they always encourage in thinking, always help in the thought process.In general they have exceptional knowledge and very good teaching skills.
