I actually love my college very much. It has given me good friends and awesome peers, who are excelling in their respective fields. Thus the competition makes me work harder and improve myself. The peer group in which you are affects you to a great extent.

The course structure offers a wide range of learning experiences - both theoretical and practical. The timetable for any given day is more on the hectic side, and the students also have to give time to co-curricular activities after the classes. This brings about all-round development, but sometimes puts a little pressure on the students.

The placements are very nice and the college is visited by multiple companies (including the names Microsoft, Adobe, Salesforce.) which offer internships and job offers to many people. The stipend varies from company to company. In addition to this, the students also go to various other foreign universities for research internships.

Srijan (Cultural Fest) - Largest cultural festival of Eastern India. Concetto (Technical and Management festival) - Has events related to these fields. Basant (Annual Alumni reunion) Parakram (Sports Fest).

The fee I pay is about Rs 1,22,000 per semester (for the second year). As the government runs the college, the fees are very feasible with different scholarships for poor students. The college also offers 100 tuition fee waivers to SC/ST students.

I have not availed of any such scholarship or loan. But I know of different such loans and scholarships provided by the college which include MCM, and other scholarships offered by different state governments.

The college has dedicated infrastructure for sports and other extracurricular activities and the students use them in their free time. The college has a SAC (Student Activity Centre) which has all the amenities which one would require.

The hostel has good infrastructure with all the basic amenities you need and expects from a technical institution. There is 24x7 WiFi and LAN for internet needs with decent speeds. The messes are attached to the hostels and cater to the students. The food is also decent.

The alumni network of our college is especially blessed as the college is very old (estd 1926). Thus we have alumni in every large company and government office in India. The senior-junior relationship in our college is very unique and we have a very different culture when it comes to that.

In order to get admitted to the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad, a student has to qualify for JEE - Mains as well as JEE - Advanced, and be on the merit list. There are various courses offered by numerous departments.

The faculties are qualified and have enough experience to do their jobs as teachers and researchers well. The college faculties are interested in their subject matters and have a good grasp of their subjects.
