Remarks

College is good in infrastructure but placement should be improved.College is full of laboratories and faculty staff is also experienced. There are many ways to learn inthis college and the environment is suitable for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is as per aicte and MHRD and it's good.Exam structure for btech and diploma are different. For diploma course there are 2 minor exam and 1 major exam. For btech course there are 1 minor exam and 1 major exam.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements and job opportunities are average in my college. Its not that much good.No my college does not provide internship.Placement companies which came to college are not that reputed ones but are small companies with average package of 3-3.5 lakhs per annum.

College Events

3.5

There are many events celebrated in my college. But the two main yearly events are techfest and Madhuram. In techfest there is a huge festival like environment of science and technology. Its like a technical festival. And Madhuram is a cultural festival.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure for different courses are different.Fees for diploma is ?10500 per semester.Fees for btech is ?30500 per semester.Diploma fees is feasible but BTech fees sholud be reduced its slightly expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee waiver scheme is provided to students on merit basis as per their rank in entrance exam in which turion fees is removed from students fees.Apart from this scholarship are available but only for. Sc,St and OBC students and not for general students.Loan facility is not offered by my college.

Campus Life

4.5

Extracurricular activities are sufficient in my college. Each department has its own labs having specified subjects and purposes. There is a student activity centre where students can go and play indoor games and playgrounds are also provided for playing outdoor games.

Hostel Facilities

2

I have been in the hostel since diploma for 5 years.Hostels are good in infrastructure and facilities. There is WiFi available for 24 hours all day.Lightning is proper in hostels.Cleanliness is somewhat poor and food quality in hostel mess is worst I have ever seen in any college. It should be checked.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are helpful. They tell about the future steps to be taken to succedd.Alumni group is there in my college which contains many alumni who have passed out from the college and now working in reputed companies. They interact with the students in seminars.

Admission

Yes I have got admission in this College on 10th class level.I entered this College through Set 1 exam and completed my three years diploma in mechanical engineering. After completing my diploma I got admission in BTech through Set 3 exam and now I am doing BTech in mechanical engineering in this college.I am in BTech 3rd year currently.

Faculty

3

Faculty of the college is decent. There are three categories of teachers in every department.First is senior professor. These are most senior professors of the department who have large working experience and completed their PhD.Second is associate professor and third is assistant professor.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
