VSSUT- it is a glory in itself.It stands true its name.The alumni and its students have acclaimed such great heights and responsibilities in their life and career that is a testament to its education and way of imparting it.The life lessons learnt throughout the B.Tech career will help you conquer every hurdle.

All the engineering courses are properly revised with updated syllabus accompanied with sound laboratory and practicals.There are 8 semesters in B.Tech with 5 theory subjects and 4 labs in each.The Exam structure is consisted of Midsems and Endsems with practical exams before endsems.

The Training and Placement Cell brings a huge number of companies both core and non-core to provide placement and job opportunities to all its final year undergraduates.It also guides and helps all the undergraduates in obtaining internships from various industries and companies.I myself had applied for an internship at CTTC, Bhubaneswar just after completion of my first year through the TnP cell and got it.

The college has 3 major fests-Sports, Technical and Cultural fest held in January to March along with the individual branch fests and other technical and Cultural workshops for all its branches.The workshops are conducted pretty regularly under the supervision of TEQIP cell by UGC.A lot of guest faculties all around the world are invited and come to give lectures and their experiences.

Being a government University and UGC affiliated,the fee structure is very feasible.Even for the financially poor there is Tution Fee Waiver.The TFW helps such students in getting the technical education at a bit lower amount without being a overburden for their families.

There are a lot of scholarships.Prerana and Medhabruti for sc,st and low income students.There are also other scholarships which can be availed by applying to them.You can see them on the college website.

The college provides a very good atmosphere for extracurricular activities.There are a lot of cultural clubs like Dance, Music,Art, Photography,Drama,Nukkad,Quiz along with technical clubs like Robotics, Entrepreneurship,SAE,Idea Club,Sattelite club.The labs are well equiped with instruments to conduct experiments which are ongoing in the real world.There is a vast opportunity in sports.Cricket, Volleyball,KhoKho, Basketball,Football and many more along with NCC, National Social Service clubs.

Yes,there are a total of 10 hostels,6 boys 4 girls,with 1 more construction ongoing.Out of the 6 for boys for are old and 2 are newly constructed.And incase of girls 2 are new while 2 are old.The infrastructure is very good with sufficient space for a person to live while sharing with other roommates.There is No hostel fees,you only pay a normal price for the mess food which is 14,000 per sem.

There is a strong alumni relationship of the college.The seniors are like family. They guide us in every steps like a elder brother or sister would do.They are very helpful in getting us required internship,job.

It began with appearing for JEE Mains exam and obtaining a good score and good rank.Then this Jee rank was used to get a college.It is followed by OJEE counselling process which publishes a merit list notifying the college you get admitted into based on your college preference you have submitted during its process.VSSUT being the first government University in Odisha and a reputed one selects the students based on their Jee rank and takes the eligible students.Hence forth getting a good rank is must.

The faculty are well-equipped with knowledge and have a handfull experience of teaching with indepth idea of their subjects.The faculty are also selected after thorough interviews so that students get the best teaching and guidance.
