Best College of Merchant Navy Studies

There are lot of positive remarks. It is a oldest institute. They offer all merchant Navy courses. Mostly Student preffer this institute only due to their reputation in shipping feild.

If we are planning to join merchant navy then this course is best. Because this is only one year course all rest courses are 3-4 year courses. Drawback is we need to do more 6-9 months more training period than rest course's requirement. But its still better to do more 6-9 months than 2-3 years more college studies. Best thing is i m getting paid for training period onboard ship but in college i wont get paid. And training period i will also get same degree. So it is less time consuming course for fast completion. In this course there are only 2 semester in institute and 3,4,5 semester onboard but examination will be held after completion of training period. And 6 semester will be the second mate exam. After this exam u will get competency licence.

Most of the students of DNS course are already sponsored by shipping company. But college provides placement for all rest candidates who are not sponsored. Also for all rest courses there is a placement.

Every year for every batch there is a passing out parade, where all the students which are going to passout gets congratulated and gifted by institute. This event celebrates twice in year. Also there is sendoff party event for BSC student too.

It is feasible if we compare it with the promotion. But if we look overall for all rest courses like graduation in science, etc then it is expensive. But if we compare with all merchant navy institute then it is lesser than all rest institute.

No they was no any scholarship or loan facility because no any merchant navy institute provides these facilities.

There are alot of extracurricular activities being carried out. And it starts from morning 6. And also students are sent for University sports competition. All sports are being played over there. And faculties are also very trained and experienced. Also inter institute sports competition being held. There is an arrangement for all sports. And also they provide gymnasium.

Yes I was staying in hostel over there. The infrastructure and facilities were best. Every Wednesday all rooms will be cleaned by maids. And every months there was a cabin inspection. So all the were cleaned and hygienic. About food it was best food I ever had. Quality of food was best and food was unlimited. They were providing both veg and non veg daily. There was breakfast, morning snacks, lunch evening snacks and dinner.

All senior are also very helpful. If there is any problem regarding hostel or study they always help to solve it. Also guide how to be in institute ,what are the rules, how to prepare for exams, campus selection.

This college is of merchant navy. Almost all Students of DNS course are selected by shipping company before admission. I was selected by shipping company named MSC by exam and interview process. Then MSC advised me to finish my pre sea course from T S Rahaman institute. So visit with company sponsorship letter. On reception they gave me a application form and guide me the whole admission process and fees structure. After a week i again went there with my all documents and i submit all my documents with fees. Then they guide me about reporting day and what things required during the course.

Best faculty under we can study. They not only teach us theoretical knowledge also they taught us practical knowledge. Because all faculties are ex-merchant navy masters with more than 20 years experience. So they have alot of practical as well as theoretical knowledge. And all faculties are supportive.
