Remarks

GB Pant engineering college is being run under govt of NCT delhi, it provide a tag of being passed from Government college and also provides a good placement. All student of my batch got placement and some got job in psu, banks, other government jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is awesome and as per latest AICTE standard. It consists of total of 8 se mister. Course duration is of 4 year. At that time, most of faculties were on contract basis. Now,permanent faculties are deputed through UPSC.

Placement Experience

College placement is good, various Co's like Samsung, HCL, trident, TCS, Wipro, tech mahindra, Cognizant etc came for college placement at my time. We have to do summer training after the end of 2nd and 3rd year, it is upto the Co's they will provide some stipend or not.

College Events

Every year college fest is being organised, besides this freshers party, sports activities, debate competition, Essay writing competition etc were organised with a great enthusiasm. All these activities are done with full support of college administration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a government college, fee structure is feasible. Besides this for students of weaker class and SC/ST receive scholarships as per government rules on submission of relevant documents. Fees is to be submitted on annual basis.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were some scholarships for economical weaker section and scholarships for students belonging to SC/ST categories. The student has to submit required documents then only they are deemed fit for the scholarships.

Campus Life

Labs are latest, world class standard as prescribed by AICTE. Every year various extracurricular activities like debates, English fest, sports fest etc are organised with a great enthusiasm with a full support from college administration.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful. They provide full support to the juniors, not only they provides notes, books but also helps some students to secure jobs. There are several groups on Facebook through them we are connected to each other.

Admission

I filled GGSIPU entrance test, At that time offline entrance exam was held and my rank was around 2500, I got admission in this college through counselling held at kashmere gate now they have shifted their main campus to Dwarka.

Faculty

At my time, faculties are on contract basis/ guest faculties they are mostly from IIT delhi/ DTU. Education standard was very good. Now, it has been brought to my knowledge that permanent faculties has joined this college.

Admission and carrier development cell is there in the college and provides good support but for average packages but for top packages only on your own self you have to grab them. One campus packages are between 3 lakhs 5 lakhs up to 10,20 lacs and highest once even up to 64 lakhs but off campus goes up to crore.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed the course because of my interest in electrical and the faculty of electrical is very supportive about innovations and experiments, the curriculum here is based on the new education policy, they also teach financial literacy and english fluency which prepares you for the real world , they could improve the syllabus little bit ,it is slightly outdated . Our college takes admission through the JEE MAINS entrance exam. The exam is conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency). The exam is moderate to difficult. 1.Eligibility is , You have to maintain under 1lac rank in jee main (if you are outside Delhi). There's 85% state reservation. If you have 3-4 lac rank(crl) and you belong to Delhi you can easy can get into this college(for OBC ). 2.Go to Jac delhi counseling web and fill the application form (fee is 1500) .
