From overall experience the college is one of the best in Chennai.The are giving high quality education with a good amount of placements every year.The only drawback is that now a days lots of colleges are coming up and the demand for new candidates is decreasing.

It contains 6 semesters and 6 subjects in each semester.Exams are conducted in each semesters.The subjects includes Navigation,Bridge Equipments,Ship operation technology,Marine Engineering,Ship Construction,Engineering Mathematics and Cargo Work

Ofcourse there is enouhg placement options available in the college.Many new companies are recruiting candidates by campus interview and other respective selection process.A fair number of students are getting placed in various MLCs every year with a glamourous amount of stipend.

There are a wide variety of events celebrated in the campus.These includes Foundation day,sports meet,Independence Day,Republic Day,Safarers Day,Teachers Day,Ganesh Chathurthi and many more memmorable events.

Fee structure varies from 2lakh to 3lakh per annum as per the course.The college is very much feasible compared to other college conducting the same courses.They are also giving scholorship to students who scores good marks in their semester examinations.The scholorship varies from 75k to 50k

College provides scholorship based on caste reservation.Also they are giving a fair amount of scholorship for girl candidates who take up these courses.Other than this semester exam based best performance reward is also given

The college have many extra curricular activities which are conducted annually.These are football,cricket,volleball,swimming,kabbadi,cycling,long jump, high jump,chess,carroms,badminton,Quiz,Science exhibition and Poetries.

They are providing very good hostel facilities with ac rooms.Food is very tasty and they have colourful menu each week.Daily room service and laundry is done without fail.All these are included in the fees

Alumni network for these college has been started recently providing a wide variety of jobs for the passed out students.Any student who have passed out can easily recieve emails regarding new job offers.

Admission is done by passing CET (Common Entrance Test).The application for this test can be obtained from www.imu.edu.in.After passing the test we can give online allotment for the preffered courses.

The college have very good faculty eith great experience and knowledge in the marine field.They are very supportive and helps the students in all aspects.The faculty section comprises of around 150 members.
