Remarks

Mostly positives, you are super engaged in the college activities which happen all round the year and at the same time you feel the need to excel in academics. You will get a lot of free time to indulge in extra curricular activites. In negatives, I would say the university is not the best. It is sloppy in its works a lot of time and a lot of subjects feel irrelevant.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The college follows KTU cirriculum. 1st year mostly basic subjects. From 2nd year onwards we have core subjects. Your total marks in each subject depends on 2 internal exams of 20 marks each and 10 marks internal evaluation. The sem exam is worth 100 marks. So total 150 marks.

Placement Experience

3.5

Yes, almost all students in computer science are placed. We have companies like TCS who recruit in mass and other core companies. Other departments though cannot boast the same. Hence our department maintains a good placement record.

College Events

4.5

Yes, the most exciting part. The campus provides a lot of opportunities of enjoyment, probably one of the most active campuses for activities in Kerala. The techno cultural fest Dyuthi being the major highlight. There are loads of other events like Union inaugurations, Onam celebs , last year we had Halloween, this year diwali, and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very feasible. Since the college comes directly under the Govt, the fees comes around 9000 per annum. Also students from poor backgrounds get scholarships and other fee waivers. For 9000 , you get a hell lot of facilites. Even college hostel won't cost you more than 3000 per month including food.

Fees and Financial Aid

Most students avail scholarships from the Government - state or central and they get around 8000 per year, sufficient to pay off the college fees. Also scholarships are awarded from other organizations like Kerala startup mission for the students who are exceptional in their fields.

Campus Life

4

Very good. All sorts of sports like cricket, football, badminton, TT, basketball , volleyball, softball, chess and even baseball are given importance. There are inter college, inter department and even intra department competitions conducted all round the year. labs are also well furnished sufficient to do the activities in our curriculum.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel provides a completely different vibe. The fees is low, and food quality is above average. The rooms may not be the best but sufficient for our purposes. There aren't much strict rules to be followed. Staying in hostel also helps to interact a lot with seniors.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni may not be the best, but we get placements from companies started by our alumni. Also the campus follows an anti ragging policy and our seniors are super supportive whenever we approach them.

Admission

First you have to write KEAM entrance examination. Then according to your rank you give preferences of the colleges you are looking to join. There are 3 phases of allotment and then you get a college depending upon your rank.

Faculty

3.5

My reactions would be mixed. All the teachers are well versed in the subject. But not all of them are excellent in teaching. But, you will find that most of the staff are dedicated despite being Govt officials.

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
