Remarks

Positive Remarks- 1. Allowing students to stand on their foots that makes them independet as well as opened new sky to learn more things. 2. Developing leadership among students by giving oppotunity to arrange and host different programmes. Negative Remarks- 1. College bus transportation facility is more costly as compared to market rates

Course Curriculum Overview

The Mechanical engineering under Pune university having semester pattern. In that each semester having 5 theory subjects plus practicles as well as tutorials. Total duration of course is 4 years. Exams are held at the end of every semester and each theory paper contains 100marks.

Placements or job opportunities are quite less available due to market conditions. College not providing the internship. But, college is supporting to students by giving job assistance. So, this helps students to get jobs easily.

Feasible, as compared to other colleges in Pune. But, in our contry due to caste system poor people getting less benefits if they belongs to upper caste meanwhile rich people from backward caste getting full benefits.

Alumni network is good and arranging the get togethers for passed out students. Also, seniors are helpful in all manner. They are encouraging all juniors for new things, activities and jobs also. So, we can say that alumni is good thing in college.

We have to fill online application first by dte then provisional merit list as well as final merit list declared. After that online seat allotment and then admission in college. In admission phase we have to submit all documents.

College having well qualified teaching staff with specialized branches as well as subjects. Other than regular teaching interpersonal skills of students development programme arranging by staff. Overall staff is good.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. My experience of iiit pune

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.
