SCOE Admission Dates 2026

SCOE admissions for the 2026-27 session are governed by DTE Maharashtra through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). MHT CET 2026 was held in April 2026 and serves as the primary entrance exam for BE first-year seats. JEE Main 2026 qualifiers are also eligible for All India Quota seats at SCOE.

SCOE Courses and Fees

SCOE offers engineering education at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma levels across four programme types. BE total fees stand at INR 2,34,000 for 4 years under the General category, making SCOE one of the more affordable SPPU-affiliated private engineering colleges in the Pune region.

The BE programme spans 10 specialisations: Computer Engineering, Information Technology, AI and Machine Learning, AI and Data Science, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Internet of Things, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. ME is offered in Computer Engineering, Design Engineering, Embedded System and VLSI Design, and Information Technology.

SCOE Admission Process

All SCOE admissions are governed by DTE Maharashtra through the CAP system. The seat matrix follows an 85% State Quota (MHT CET), 15% All India Quota (JEE Main), and 20% Management Quota structure within the sanctioned intake. The DTE college code for SCOE is 6149.

BE (First Year)

Eligibility requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and a minimum 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories). A valid MHT CET or JEE Main score is mandatory for state and all-India quota seats respectively.

BE Lateral Entry

Diploma holders in the relevant engineering branch can seek direct second-year BE admission through the DTE Maharashtra DSY CAP without any entrance exam. Merit is based on aggregate Diploma percentage. DSY CAP registration typically opens in July 2026.

Diploma in Engineering

Admission to the 3-year Diploma programme is through DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic CAP based on SSC (Class X) merit. No entrance exam is required, and CAP registration for Diploma opens in June 2026.

ME

ME admission requires a BE or B.Tech degree with minimum 50% marks and a valid GATE score. Admission is through DTE Maharashtra PG CAP, with registration opening in June to July 2026 and allotment rounds in August 2026.

SCOE Placements

Placement activity at SCOE is concentrated in Computer Engineering and Information Technology branches, with software and IT companies dominating recruiter visits each season. The highest package in 2023-24 was INR 6 LPA and the average package was INR 5 LPA, up from an average of INR 3 LPA in 2022-23.

IT and software companies form the core recruiter pool. Confirmed IT recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, IBM, Cognizant, Zensar Technologies, Hexaware Technologies, Nagarro, and ITC Infotech. Banking sector companies visiting the campus include HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Federal Bank, and Barclays. Core engineering companies include TATA Technologies, Eaton, Bajaj, Sandvik Asia, Hyosung, and Tetra Pak.

Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical Engineering branches see fewer campus recruiter visits per cycle and graduates primarily take up core manufacturing and infrastructure roles in the Pune-Mumbai industrial belt. Newer specialisations such as Cyber Security, IoT, AI and ML, and AI and Data Science are recruited through the same IT pool as Computer Engineering.

SCOE Scholarships

SCOE students from reserved and economically weaker sections are eligible for Maharashtra government post-matric scholarships disbursed through the MahaDBT portal. Applications are submitted online through the state Social Welfare Department following admission confirmation each academic year.

SCOE Campus and Infrastructure

Aspirants considering private engineering colleges in Pune under SPPU affiliation typically weigh SCOE alongside Indira College of Engineering and Management (ICEM) at Parandwadi and JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering (RSCOE) at Tathawade. All three are AICTE-approved, SPPU-affiliated colleges catering to MHT CET and JEE Main qualifiers in the Pune region.

SCOE offers one of the lower BE fee structures among comparable SPPU-affiliated colleges. JSPM’s RSCOE holds an advantage in IT placement access given its proximity to the Hinjewadi-Wakad IT corridor. ICEM holds a NAAC B+ grade and more central Pune access relative to SCOE’s Maval location.
