Remarks

The academics in the college is good and we have number of events too held in our college.But only thing i suggest is that we have classes during the events.if it can be changed it will really useful.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is good. I chose cse. All the labs are provided for the required subjects. We have 2 semesters. Each semester will have 2 internal exams (mid 1 amd mid 2). Then the semester exams are conducted.

Placement Experience

We haven't yet received internships. They will be providing the internships probably from next year. The placements are good and it also depends on how the student is performing. The job opportunities are quit good if you are talented.

College Events

There are a number of events celebrated in the college. Every two years there is an event called as PULSE which is celebrated grandly. Every year we have PRAGNA event which is also celebrated grandly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is a bit expensive but for those students whose parents are not working are given re embursement of the fee. The fee is a concern for the middle class people who will have difficulty in paying the fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships that offered. As mentioned above fee rembersement for non-working parents, PMSS scholarship, and telangana government scholarship for the students are provided. These scholarships are really useful for the students.

Campus Life

As mentioned above the college has enough labs for the students. There is a cricket ground and throwball court provided. Coming to indoor sports we have carroms , billiards , tt. Every year there are competitions held for all sports.

Alumni/Alumna

No absolutely not.The senior students are really friendly and they never behave as if they are our seniors.And there is absolutely no ragging in the college and there are not really much complaints about it.

Admission

I searched all the available colleges in Hyderabad and sorted them according to the ranking and then I kept the list inhiven online filling form. I got Gokaraju Rangaraju college theough my eamcet rank.

Faculty

The faculty is good. They are highly educated and have good knowledge about the subjects they teach. Even the lab faculty teachers are good. Some use english to communicate while others use telugu but however they deliver the content.

Thinking Beyond Academics and Placements , life at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement here are going on pretty well considering the recession that hit the market in recent years,student become eligible for placements from the first sem of their final year , typically 7th semester for single degree students (BE) and 9th semester for dual degree students (Msc+BE),as per the recent cycle around 310+ companies including Google, MIcrosoft,Goldman sachs etc. had visited campus with offer majorly ranging from 18 to 27 lpa , the highest package last cycle (domestic) was for 65lpa and average aroun 21 lpa. The perecentage of students getting placed is above 80% and remaining usually go on for pursuing masters or already have a PPO from the Practice School Internship.I personally will be sitting for placements in my last year and will be hoping to land a good offer.

Placement Experience:

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.
