Review of Future Institute of Engineering & Management College.

The campus is not big enough like what you see in the movies. It has just 4-5 buildings having respective branches within them and it also has an school named Future Campus School. It has not much big grounds but only a basketball ground which too is rarely vacant as school students play there and then for us there is a part of land surrounded by the wall and fences where you can play one game at a time. But apart from it the faculty, the fest and other things are quite good. Placements are disappointing which is like same in every private college.

I am in the mechanical field and the course structure designed by the university (MAKAUT formerly known as WBUT) is quite good where you cover all the basic and advanced levels of a mechanical engineer and the course also matches with the GATE exam syllabus thereby an ease with the flow. The exam taken by the university is in quite appropriate manner where the paper is from the syllabus and the exam held at your respective colleges with the proper environment.

The current scenario of placements from engineering colleges has not been hidden from an individual. There are jobs for the software branches and the college try hard to bring the companies to college but honestly speaking few companies like CTS, Capgemini and a few small companies came this year. The college didn't bring any core companies for electrical and mechanical for the placement (remaining 1-2) although they organized a few pool campuses. Sadly speaking placements are not quite good. The college doesn't provide any internship rather you would have to go for the industrial training by yourself.

Very firstly the seniors organize fresher's party for the fresher where you can take over great enjoyment of your newly begun journey. There are many clubs in the college like everywhere including dance club, music and drama club, photography, sports and various other clubs which are active but few of them are ineffective.The college celebrates it's annual fest in the month of April-May where the intercollege dance, sports, music, fashion and various other competitions are organised. This fest happens every weekend of the month of April/May where in each different week different stuffs are done including from games to music to dance and much more. Also the Teachers day and Farewell party organized by the college.

The fee structure designed by the college is affordable for the students being 40,000/- INR approximately for a semester without any extra charge. But yes at the time of examination you would have to pay for the submission of the application form for the exam varying between 1-1.2k.

Till now I haven't come to know about any scholarship or loan facility provided by the college. But yes in extreme conditions if you are unable to pay the fees due to some personal/professional reasons you can write an application regarding the same to the university/college and they may help you with that*.

The lab facilities provided for each and ever branch are very good and they have all the instruments for every branch for the practicals. Specially they have every machines/instruments for the mechanicals. But for 1 or 2 experiment one would have to go to it's second branch FIT as there is not further space available here for those equipments.

The college has not any hostel facility rather you would have to choose the PG option which you will come to know once you go there. You also can go for the flat/apartment option. Once you go there and take the admission you would come to know that there are people outside who give provide you rentals on agreement basis.

The college is ragging free campus so no need to worry about that although you might be caught by your seniors for just introduction. Otherwise the seniors here are quite helpful. They help you with their best in every aspect where they can like talking about from studying point of view or coming support you in other aspects.

First of all, cleared the WBJEE exam and accordingly on the basis of the rank I got, I did my councelling myself and then I was invited for the councelling process at the specific location (as per WBJEE) where I was asked to upgrade the college selection (which I as first alloted in the councelling process at their location) for further rounds where I opted positively and then in the last round I was alloted the final college and was assigned a date range between which I went to the college and took admission.

The faculty of my college are quite experienced (not all) and they have adequate knowledge to deliver it to the students. They are quite supportive and helpful regarding academics and non-academics as well. Facing any kind of problem can be reported to the faculty or college staff and be fixed (not beyond their range).
