Remarks
The infrastructure need a little improvement but yes it's an old institute established back in the 1960s so that is there. But the improvements are taking place and soon we will be up to date. Our curriculum is slowly changing toward the sustainable business side from the conventional form. That's very good and a positive point. The college is very responsive to the students opinions and the changes in the industry. The only drawback of the college is that it does not enjoy a very good amount of autonomy. The central IIT has hold of all the departments. But this is obvious. We offer an MBA degree not a diploma. We are a university.
Placement Experience
The college does provide internships and placement opportunities. The companies that visit the campus provide diverse opportunities and the average stipend is about 1.43 lakhs for summer internships and about 18.47 LPA is the average CTC for final placements. All the prominent recruiters in the field of consulting, sales and marketing, finance, operations visit the campus. We last year wrapped up with our final placements in less than 3 days. That is the response we get.
College Events
The events celebrated range from all the festivals of all the religions and cultures to technical and cultural and sports festivals. All these are at a national scale. Imagine when the head of Italian space research comes to address your students in the technical festival and Shankar Ehsan Loy performing in the cultural fest. It's big. And it's great!
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure compared to other B-Schools is very reasonable. Nearly 50% of what the other institutes charge. Plus we are located in the capital city and we have a location advantage. The ROI is great sighting the above points. The fees being so low and the structure being flexible, and the placement salary averages being higher than most colleges in India, this is a great place to invest in.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a lot of scholarships at offer based on various aspects. Some are given to the economically needy, some to the academically excellent. Also the class fees of the topper is waived. For each department, there are a lot of different options to seek financial help. The SBI branch inside the campus does give student loans to those who require it.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are homely and the staff is good. The food is not very good but better when compared to other colleges. There are single, double and triple occupancy rooms and all the hostels have a lawn, a garden, a play area, a gym, a sports room, a library, Computer room, a newspaper section, cycle parking, and much more. The fun of living together here is great and worth experiencing. When you are here, you know you are amongst the best in India.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students are very helpful. The alumni network for the department is small but very strong. This is an obvious result of the stringent entrance process and a small intake compared to other B-Schools of repute. But we do enjoy the benefits of the IIT Delhi alumni network in entirety. A lot of unicorns have come out of our campus and the industry comment because of the alumni is very strong. All of them are leaders and the best at their workplace.
Faculty
The faculty here as I mentioned in the above answer is world class. The senior professors of the likes of Prof. PK Jain are k own to be the best in the country. They have been teaching in B-Schools in the US and UK too as visiting faculties. They are the authors of the books referred across all IIM's and that's the beauty of studying here. They themselves teach you and also give you a leading to think and challenge the normal school of thought. They are extremely helpful and guiding. Most of them are engaged in extensive and high level research and are board members of a lot of companies. This helps us get in touch with the industry very well. We are ranked first in the business research category in India amongst all B schools by NIRF rankings and second in India in the management course by the QS world University rankings.
