Remarks

No negative remarks I can think of. Very good college. If you are looking for a place where you can be on your own, without too much pressure from the faculty and staff, then this is the place for you. If you are serious to studies, you have everything on offer here.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

If you ask about the difficulty level of the curriculum, its neither easy nor difficult. If you are ready to put on a little effort from your side, you are safe. There are a total of 56 papers to clear, spread across 8 semesters. Marks for each paper is calculated as the aggregate of internal and external marks. Internal marks are calculated based on the assignments, internal exams, attendance, etc. Marks you score for the public university exam constitutes the external marks. This college comes under the APJ ABDUL KALAM TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY ( initially KTU).

Placement Experience

4.5

College has got a dedicated placement cell, that moulds each student to be industry ready, by the time they step out of college. Companies like Oracle, infosys, tcs, wipro, south indian bank, federal bank, etc are the main companies that come for the campus selection programmes every year.

College Events

4

There two main events - Takshak, which is the tech fest, and Sanskriti , which is the arts fest. For takshak, there will be student participations from all over the state. A variety of events with attractive prizes. Usually tech fest will be for 2-3 days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its an aided college and hence only government approved fee structure, just around 6-8 k per Semester. You can expect a total expense of around Rs.1 lakh once you complete 8 semesters, including the tuition fee, lab fee, and examination fees. Hostel and Mess fee will be extra.

Fees and Financial Aid

College helps in claiming various scholarship schemes offered by the state and central governments, like the central sector scholarship scheme, based on the marks you scored for your plus two exams. You get all the assistance you need for claiming the scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

The lab facilities here are one of the best in the entire state. No colleges in nearby areas offer similar lab facilities. Good support for extra curricular activities. Besides the arts fest sanskriti, good support for sports events too. There are college teams for cricket, basketball, football etc, and they use to participate in various tournaments and games, both state as well as national level events.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Good infrastructure with all required facilities. Hostel mess is also good, and charges only at a very reasonable rate. Both hostels are near to the main college campus, and its very convenient for the students.

Alumni/Alumna

This is one among the oldest engineering colleges in kerala, and hence have got a vast alumni network. There are a lot of eminent personalities in the alumni network of this college. They are very helpful and do a lot of assistance in matters like campus selection, placements etc.

Admission

Admission to this college is based on the ranklist from Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam (KEAM). I got admission based on my entrance rank. Admission is through an allotment process, based on the KEAM rank list. With usual trends, ranks upto 5000 gets admission here. Those who gets allotment will have to appear for the interview on the admission date. Interview marks the end of admission process and classes start within a week of interview.

Faculty

4.5

Very experienced and qualified faculty. Almost all of them has got a minimum10 years of experience. They are very helpful and you can ask for any help and they are always ready to help you. Highly qualified faculty with majority of them having masters degree from various prestigious institutions of the country, like IITs, NITs, etc.
