Remarks

It is a really good college if academic is your only aim. It has a very good atmosphere for studying and really calm it is. But the other aspects are not really inspiring and viable. The college doesn't promote other activites.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It is getting revised and improving but our current curriculum that i am following is outdated which is draw back for the current students. Since the next batch of students will have an updated curriculum with newest technology while we are still in nomadic age.

Placement Experience

0.5

The college doesn't provide a viable interships for the students. They have a placement cell which i hope is functional but i have never seen anyone work there literally. But there are rare cases when internships are provided for certain students. But as far as I know a stipend provided internship was never done.

College Events

1

Kerala Piravi, Holi, Arts. No other functions have been conducted since I joined but this year more events are to be conducted. The management, staff and teachers are not very supportive on conducting events. They prefer a bookish learning approach.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible but when compared to the fee structure of the colleges in the kollam the fee structure is high. Our fee structure is around 55000 per year. Which is relatively higher than most of the colleges in kollam. Most of the colleges in kollam only have a fee of 35000 per year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

A numerous number of scholarship are provided by the government. It can be applied and availed by the students. Loan facilities are provided directly by the bank college has no role in that. But it is easily available.

Campus Life

3.5

The labs are pretty good with all the infrastructure and machinery required. The sports grounds are well maintained and of adequate quality and size. Extra curricular activities are not very much promoted and they are basically degraded.

Hostel Facilities

1

The infrastructure and facilities of the hostel are pretty good. But the food provided is really horrible. The buildings are new and well maintained and have enough facilities and a backup power generation.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network exist but it is not very strong and not very active. It doesn't help the students in other ways. They just exist that's all as far as I know. It is not very functional and not very supportive.

Admission

We have to qualify for either KEAM or JEE prelims. Considering the ranks we got in these exams our admission is conducted by the panel. And based on our performance in the interview session admissions are done.

Faculty

2.5

They are really helpful in academic side but really disappoints in extra curricular activities. They try to shrink our talents and focuses only on bookish learning. They won't encourage us for sports and relating activities and the management is not very supportive on conducting events and fests.

For other branches, the placement cell is quite good but for food technology, the placement is less. Although we have a few. Training is given for placement aptitudes.

Positive - very close to town, so it's easy to access. Near to railway junction too. So it's easy for the students to reach the home town. The other positive is that it is close to Kerala kalamandalam, poomala dam etc.
