Remarks

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Course Curriculum works well. The Exam structure consits of 1 mid term exam (25%) and assignments and projects (25%), which all add upto 50% of the total marking weightage, the rest 50% is for the Semester Exam

Placement Experience

4.5

To Talk about placements and Job Opportunities. Yeah if you are from a Computer Science Engineering(CSE). in our college. You are bound to have been placed by the end of your 3rd year. Yeah C.S students get most of the placements, The highest placement ever recieved in our college was for 50 lakh from ADOBE. That too for a CSE Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE. Our college does not provide internship. They do help a lot. They give us infos regarding internships at so and so place

College Events

2.5

The main events celebrated in our college are Tathva - Our technomanagement fest and Ragam - Our Cultural Fest. Our Fedt are always on the the one number fest in south india both in terms of economy and colour,

Fee Structure And Facilities

That can't be answered that easily, No Fee structure cant be generalized as Feasible or expensive. Coz Ours is a National College .People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college. There are scholarships to support and reservations for SC and ST

Fees and Financial Aid

No, Actually our college does not offer any scholarship, and neither do they do the needful for applying for Scholarship, Its the State Govt and Central Govt whuch offers us scholarships. And there are quite a number of scholarships - MCM, E-Grantz,Top Class (Other State),SPDC,ST,SC

Campus Life

4

Extracurricular activities, labs, sports all go splendid, Our College has a variety of extracurricular activities and a sports meet every year. Facilities are okay. not good. Some of their behaviour are beyond tolerable.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The Hostels are all old, The hostels in which we reside are nearly 25 yrs old, so you can imagine about its condition, Facilities are okay. not good. Some of their behaviour are beyond tolerable. There are quite a number of hostels, and Mess. But the road to some of the Hostels dont even have proper lighting

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah, More than the college officials, the Alumini Network have helped a lot in the upbringing of the campus and its surroundings. Senior Students at first might not appear to be friendly, But at the end they will be the oky obes who can help us .

Admission

Seats are alotted in mainly 2 manner . First category belongs to students who has attempted JEE exam and cleared. The clearing cutoff depends on your community, the general divisions are - SC,ST, general,OBC,other states. Applicants of the native state in which the college resides gets priority of 50% of the seats , The rest 50% of seats are for the other states and DASA The Second Category is DASA - Students who have attempted SAT exam and cleared it, The clearing cutoff depends on the branch one choose

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

I chose this course because the curriculum covers key subjects like Python, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Deep Learning right from the early semesters. The inclusion of electives such as IoT, Cloud Computing, and NLP made it future-relevant and versatile.

Placements are really good. Since college is related to ISRO maximum students with cgpa above than 7 are elligible for ISRO interviews and are selected based on their performance. Apart from ISRO many campanies like Texas Instruments, UTS, Mercedez , also come here for recruuitment. Many also opt for M.tech and MBA after graduation

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies - [KUFOS], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Food Technology)
Reviewed on May 11, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.
