Remarks

There is no negative impact in my mind for my university. It's just like anyone's home. The family members are not this much helpful (like people here). Jadavpur learns a youth to be bold and brave , to protest and to stand with the truth always . There is no gender inequality, no racism, no cast discrepancy inside the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

This is a 3 year bachelor degree course. Every single year consists of two semesters. So there are near about 4 months for one semester. Both theoretical practical exams and also the Viva are conducted after one semester . At the end of 6th semester there is a special exam named as grand viva , the toughest part in 3 years life.

Placement Experience

4

As most of the students are from top 1% of their respective boards , they get DST inspire scholarship throughout their degree course. And some other scholarships are provided to the economically backward students from the University itself, the alumni helps a lot in this regard. Many students do projects in the research labs, some of them do internship outside the University also. And after 3 year there is an arrangement of campusing too.

College Events

5

Ok, jadavpur is a cultural hub. Throughout the year many cultural programs are conducted here . There are students from different community, religion and tribes . They come from each and every corner of india. So we all enjoy each other's festivals. Summer and winter fests are also held by the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This is the most important part of Jadavpur University. The fees here is lower than any other universities in india. Even it's cheaper than any govt. colleges in the state. The exam fees are very less and also the admission fees. Even after that those students, who can't afford this small amount, can easily get the free studentship.

Fees and Financial Aid

First of all, i have to speak about the very low fees here .for that no loan is needed ever. Most of the students get government scholarships. Apart from that University itself provides a merit cum scholarship to the brilliant students. Actually it's given from the student aid and alumni fund.

Campus Life

4

There are near about fourty departments in the University . Students from all the depts take prt in annual sports , and many other cultural evets. Football , cricket , basketball tournaments are also held among the departments. The lab facility is excellent for the respective courses. Jadavpur has provided so many cultural tycoons already, and many more are to be come to daylight.

Hostel Facilities

5

Yeah, i was in the hostel for the 3 years. Truly speaking these were the best days of my life. The hostel fees were very feasible. Hostel provides a great life to all its boarders. The environment of hostel was superb , and the food was good and hygienic.

Alumni/Alumna

There is an excellent senior junior bonding here. From arranging fresher's, picnic to fest they do all the responsibilities together. Every single department arrange their reunion every year, the senios come there and interact with the juniors. They are pretty much helpful in every course of life. The student aid scholarship is provided from the fund raised by the alumni.

Admission

A merit list was produced according to HS marks , then the seats were fulfilled accordingly. Entrance procedure was same for all boards. Only top 1% from every board have merely got chances in jadavpur University. Counseling takes place at the time of admission.

Faculty

4.5

Excellent faculty there, one cannot imagine that teacher-student bonding without seeing them. They are extremely professional as well as careful like our parents. They not only provides the test book teaching but also helps in being a good human being.

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.
