Remarks

Positive - very close to town, so it's easy to access. Near to railway junction too. So it's easy for the students to reach the home town. The other positive is that it is close to Kerala kalamandalam, poomala dam etc.

Placement Experience

3

Jyothi Engineering College has headed a lot in placement and job opportunities. In the past few years, about 60% of the final year students are getting placed in top mnc's like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, manhattan, ust global, cognizant, amazon. Moreover, the college is also providing efficient training for cracking placements with eminent personalities. They are doing their best to make us placed in companies. They also provide training for gate exams. Other than mnc's the students are getting placed in public services and bank sector too. Moreover, the college has a good relationship with the hr of many companies. So it's a great advantage for the students to get opportunities. Currently, I am working in ults which I had secured through campus placement.

College Events

3.5

There are a lot of celebrations in our college. As the college is in Kerala, we celebrate Onam in full pride. Students will be using various dress codes etc during Onam. And after our college life also we are missing it. Other than onam we celebrate Christmas. There will be various entertainment manners competitions and cake cutting etc. We also celebrate Holi in our college. The other events are union day. On this day the college union will come into action. Next is the college day, which is during the end of the academic year. And farewell day. Which will be a farewell to the seniors.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is very much feasible for normal people. And for the people who are financially less sound, there are many concessions in fees etc. Which is a great relief for them. For the middle-class people also the fees infeasible. They had to pay only the government recognised fees. They don't want to pay any extra fees. Moreover who are joining in management quota too had to pay only the fees prescribed for the students joining in government seats. They don't want to pay any donations. It's also a great relief.

Fees and Financial Aid

It provides a lot of good scholarships like minority scholarships, academic scholarships etc. Those who are financially less sound get huge benefits from college authorities. They also support loan facilities for the children. In the previous year, they provided scholarships worth 2 crores.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is also very supportive of juniors. If there are any opportunities in their companies they will surely be referring their juniors. And they are very helpful in our life not only in the case of job. But also in personal life.

Admission

After clearing my higher secondary education, I started preparing for keam. And I had cleared keam in my first attempt itself. After clearing keam I had opted for many colleges for allotment. In the first allotment, I got admission to royal engineering college. And I waited for the second allotment. In the second allotment, I got admission to Jyothi Engineering College in the government seat. After that, I went to college for taking admission and pay fees etc. On that particular day, they will verify all our personal documents and we will be remitting fees for that academic year and uniform. And that day was decided by the government.

Faculty

3.5

The faculties in Jyothi Engineering college are the major reason behind their successful academic results. It's their hard work that turns into the results. They are the real heroes. They are not just faculties, they are like our parents who guide and mould us into socially committed and well-educated professionals for 4 years. Without their guidance and support, we are big zeros. And in any stage of our life, we can approach them for any guidance and support without any fear. They are not only just facilities, but they are also our parents, big brothers and sisters. It's lucky to have such loving faculties.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.
