Course Curriculum Overview

2

As my college strictly follows KTU curriculum and syllabus, it makes me think that they are very much outdated and many new things in the present day is not included . The syllabus need to me modified. The curriculum doesn't prepare for the real world applications and it is completely theoretical knowledge only.

Internships Opportunities

4

I have attended 2 internships in my college life. One was with the ULCCS and other in a private interior design and construction company. Both was of two weeks and no stipend were given. In the ULCCS it was a bridge construction site. And in the company i got to do lots of AutoCAD works.

Placement Experience

4

From the endof 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies like Arbee constructions, South Indian Bank, Sutherland that are regularly selecting students form my college along with many other companies. Highest package per company offered was around 6 lacks rupees per annum and average is around 3 lakh rpm. Around 30-40% students got placed. My plan is to prepare for the competitive exams to get a government job.

Fees and Financial Aid

At the time of my admission the fees of first semester was around 58000 and now it has increased to around 63000. For demanding branches like cybersecurity, computer science, artificial intelligence it is now around 67000 at the time of admission i.e., fees for first semester. And the fees for rest of the semesters was 44,500 now it is 45,250 around and around 47,000 for these special branches. Scholarships are available for economically backward class students but it is not provided for students enrolled in those above mentioned special branches. And also e-grants scholarships are provided for students. Also for NRI admission, a special fee excluding the above mentioned fees to be paid that varies from ? 300000 to ?500000 and it is different for different branches.

Campus Life

3

A major tech fest named tharang is the one and only festivals celebrated around the month of March, probably. Every range of books are available in the library and each department has their own departmental libraries other than the major central library. The classrooms are air conditioned and smart classrooms. And every labs and workshops comes with latest and curriculum related materials and equipments.

Hostel Facilities

5

I choose the college hostel facility as it is inside the college campus. The rent is 5000 rupees per month and the food was amazing and healthy. The menu is prepared by the students itself. The registration process is not very complicated. Just fill the form and pay the fees at the office. It is pretty much affordable. Mess fees will be not taken if you are not present in the hostel , but it should be informed earlier.

Admission

As my college doesn't promote any festivals or celebrations its top most priority is to provide quality education to their students. I got many reviews from my school teachers and seniors about this college and decided to join. The admission process is very simple. No group discussion or personal interview is conducted for the selection. Just direct admission if you qualify certain conditions like 12 th grade and KEAM or JEE entrance exam marks. Just needed to qualify.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are very much qualified for their roles and helps us very much. The syllabus followed is strictly as per the KTU guidelines and which is really needed a good updation. The college is trying to make it autonomous as they can themselves conduct and dictate examinations. While speaking about faculties every department has some good and not so good faculty members, can't say they are the worse or bad. But comparatively I feel civil engineering department faculty members are the best. There is a regular semester exams as per KTU guidelines and also each faculty members has their own way of teaching and conducting seperate exams. Faculty to student ratio is 1:5.

Night Life

1

The ladies hostel closed at 6:15pm and the gents hostel and college gate by 7:00 pm. So there is no nightlife in the campus Life. College classrooms, libraries and other labs and workshops closed by 4 pm.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 6th semester onwards. At the conclusion of the second year, the college evaluates all students, allowing only the diligent and deserving individuals to proceed, while others are dismissed. The college provides excellent placement prospects for high-performing students. A multitude of reputable companies actively recruit from our institution, making it a premier destination for career opportunities in Kerala. While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. Majority of the talented students are placed in Cognizant and TCS Ninja with an average annual package of 10 to 12 lakh. I actually plan to pursue higher studies after Btrch.
