Course Curriculum Overview

I like to spend in software field so I choose computer science. 60 students in class. Good quality teaching. Semester wise exam on December and March. Medium level of tough Examination to score good CGPA

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 85000 per year

zero arrears students are mainly considered for large company recruitment. And maximum 2 arrears are allowed to medium level recruitment. IBM, Epixel, Nokiya like companys take maximum 20 to 30 students. 20 LPA was the highest package they provided. 75% of students getting placed in every year. I like to do software job after the degree

Fees and Financial Aid

42500 rs is the Semester fee. They provided two types of scholarship for Backward caste. Campus placement starts during last year with minimum 4 LPA. Almost financialy lower power students got a scholarship

Campus Life

All cultural and sports events are amazing.Tharang is the Tech fest and other 3 or more Annual fests are done in each year. NSS unit is the more actively running social group . Football and basketball like group sports and individual items are done in every year.

Based on the rank ( State merit) in Lateral Entry Examination LBS Centre for Science & Technology. It's a Objective Type Test. Diploma is the Eligibility. Application fee: 10000 Application date:01/08/2022. Date of Exam:13/08/2022

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Studends eligible from 6th sem.Top recruiters Infosys,TCS.Highest package 12LPA,avg 4LPA. 75% placed. My plan is to get placed via campus drive.and a secure a job through a campus and also upskill in technologies.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

CSE student at JEC

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

I have only applied to this college. One of my friend who was studying in this college suggested me this college. Because of my KEAM mark, I didn't get other government colleges for CSE. Then I see a better option for CSE was Jyothi. Heard that lot of placements there for CSE at Jyothi. Thats why I applied here. The admission process was quite simple for me. JECC is not for the weak.

As my college doesn't promote any festivals or celebrations its top most priority is to provide quality education to their students. I got many reviews from my school teachers and seniors about this college and decided to join. The admission process is very simple. Good Campus and enjoyed the time in there.

We had a common exam for the admissions. And the rank in the exam determines which college we get to study. I was trying to get into the government college. But didn't had enough rank to get the set. This i got into Jyothi engineering college Thrissur according to my rank. Couldn't apply to other colleges because the system works like that. If we get any college we should join there. The real review

Actually when I was writing my boards I paid 10000 and they asked me to block myself a seat. They kept two conditions two score above 85 percentage in 12th and keam should be qualified.i happened to get both so after that I went back to college they gave me a check list of documents to bring for registration. I bought those they registered me in. And after that we registered for the uniform and then the hostel and then we talked with the teachers in my department that was pretty much about my admission my admission went really smooth.it was really smooth and easy i didn't go through any trouble or delay....Read More
