College review

Positive remarks about the college are that the library is very well maintained. Labs are fully equipped and anyone who is interested can excel. Lab assistants are also friendly except for some departments. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors and speakers. Negative remarks about the college are that the placements are not at all good. Only veg food is available.

Course Curriculum is average. It is average because practical application of the knowledge is not done in an appropriate manner. In engineering, exams are not only the only way to test knowledge. Practical knowledge is the most important thing over here. The exam structure is semester basis. Each semester is of six months and after that exam is conducted by MAKAUT to which the college is affiliated.8 semesters are in total.

Placements and job opportunity are not at all good. Each year strikes occur and only after that do college authorities take decisions and companies are invited to the campus. College doesn’t provide any sort of internship.

Each year fest is organized by the college. It takes place between February to June. Freshers day as well as Farewell for the outgoing batch is celebrated. Besides, small events are organized by the Rotaract club-like donating clothes to the needy, flood relief is done.

The fee structure is feasible and lower than most of the colleges. The facilities provided by the college are good and affordable. College doesn’t charge anything that only some sections of the students can afford. Overall, the fee structure is quite feasible and is done by considering all the students of the college.

First of all, I have not opted for any loan facility. I am writing this on basis of what I have heard from my fellow batch mates and friends. The loan facility is not provided by the college. One has to go to the bank and opt for a loan. Since this college is under the affiliation of Makaut so any scholarship is provided by the university only.

Labs are good and if anyone is interested in studying there is ample chance to do so. Labs are well equipped and lab assistants are also good( except for some departments). Extracurricular activities are not well developed in the college because there are not enough fields in the college.

First of all, I have not opted for Hostel. I am writing this on basis of the reviews heard from my friends. First of all, the girls' hostel is within the campus, and the boys' hostel is located 500 meters away from the college. Both the hostels don’t have any escalators. College serves only vegetarian food. No non-veg food is served. Hostels are roomy and airy.

The Alumni network is not much well maintained. Sometimes during any seminars or meet-ups, some senior students turn up and give advice on how to be like them, details about their job, how they came to this position, and many more things.

I went to the college with all the documents like 10th marks, 12th marks, WBJEE rank card, and after some paper works and admission fee payment, got admitted to this college. There is also a facility to get admitted to this college. One can get into this college through the management quota. Here one needs money and the WBJEE rank card.

The faculty members are good and encouraging. They help us in developing new knowledge and give us information about the events happening in the outside world. They even help us to participate in inter-college events.
