An honest opinion

Like all colleges the positives and negatives balance each other but KIIT does provide placement like no other college does which removes a lot of pressure from the students and they can perform well in their respective fields.

The curriculum is extremely diverse ranging from all basic subjects in first year to specialisation in the following three years. The exam structure is a mid semester exam of 20 marks and an end semester exam of 60 marks and 20 marks for assignments and assessment throughout the semester.

The placement opportunities make KIIT famous which boasts of a 100% placement record and also ensure that they complete it. The college does not provide internships but does provide details of places where the internship can be done from.

In KIIT all events are celebrated from Durga puja to iftar party and everyone is free to participate. Their are fests organised by different departments such as medical , engineering and all the KIIT students can participate in any of them irrespective of their course.

The fees is a bit on the higher side and it is reviewed every 3 years.The fees for my 4 years is 15.5 lakhs including hostel, mess and other amenities. It might get a little difficult for students belonging from a slightly poor economic background.

Scholarships are offered to deserving students i.e those who have got the highest scores from their respective board exams and they are exempt from providing most of the fees. Students form poor economic background are provided with fees cuts thus,helping them to continue their education without pressurising their parents.

There are lots of opportunities to play any sport to think of Starting from lawn tennis to rugby all sports facilities are provided by the college at reduced rates. The labs have technical equipments aplenty and are sufficient for each and every student.

The hostel facility is as much as a student can ask for with proper meals provided throughout the day.Discipline is also maintained so as to not get disturbed during studies. It provides a good atmosphere to make new friends.

The alumni network is created in the 4th year and the students who passed out are provided with the alumni card at their convocation which gives them permanent library access and 15% rebate on sports and future bloodline students of the college.

The college organised a Entrance exam know as KIITEE in which the criteria was based on cumulative scores of Math,Physics and Chemistry. The exam produced a rank in order of which streams were allotted on the counseling date based on availability.I had 600 rank and was able to secure ETC branch.

The faculty ranges from experienced teachers to new teachers in the profession who try their utmost to impart knowledge to the students. The teachers are very helpful and always willing to guide the students.
