Remarks

KIIT is a dream college in India would be. One should know how to take advantage of the facilities or advantage being provided because everything cannot be spoon-fed. One not-so-negative remark , the student has to live in quite a lot of restrictions for the first few months of their first year but that's for the betterment of the students only. If you are keen to have a secured future and have determination to grab a job after your graduation then KIIT is the college for you.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is quite good. All the subjects divided among the semesters are ought to provide step by step knowledge on each field of our respective branches. One has to study all the basic subjects from all branches in their first year, so that the student can get an idea of what has to be taught in other branches which helps the student to find his/her interest and if willing to switch to some other branch. They can do so provided with a good CGPA.

Placement Experience

5

The placement and job opportunities is the best thing in my college. The placement season has already begun in my batch and by now 70% of my batch mates are placed including me. We get a lot of exposure to the recruitment process in 3rd year itself. There were many internship offers that came along our way during 3rd year itself. The training and placement department of my college had made it possible that every week there is a recruitment process going on. We have came across many MNCs , IT or Core firm in the past few months.

College Events

4.5

KIIT is also known for its college fest like KIIT Fest, Kritarth etc where we get to do many fun activities as well as cultural fest and our college gets to witness many celebrities visiting our campus. Our college is also famous for KIIT MUN (Model United Nations) and one gets to competes with delegates on international level. Recently our college got an opportunity to witness the World Congress of Poets where renowned personalities visited our campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I would say it is bit on the expensive side but is worth every penny. The quality of education and facilities we get inside the college is worth to compete with any renowned college. The faculties and mentors in our college are always there to support us. In KIIT one can be assured of a secured future with a job offer letter in hand.

Fees and Financial Aid

The students who have scored the highest rank in KIITEE (KIIT entrance exam) till 100th rank get a chance to avail scholarship. Some of my batchmates even study in full scholarship and so does some international students out here.

Campus Life

4.5

There are E-labs conducted by our respective department where one gets to learn about the latest technology and can do certified courses as well. Our founder has always motivated us to take part in sports and many cultural activities. We also have many Social Service teams which includes NSS. They also conduct a NSS week which is full of fun activities. We also have cultural fests all year round where one gets to showcase one's talent, be it poetry, dancing, singing etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is where you can feel homely after a while. The hostel is quite safe for girls with many rules and regulations. The rooms and washrooms are top notch and so is the facilities within. In case of any health issues or emergency we are provided with shuttle services at any time of the day and even late night to drop and pick us up from nearby hospital that is KIMS.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are the our support systems in our college. They treat us like family, so there is no question of ragging or any such thing. We have great connections with our seniors and even stay in contact after them passing out of college.

Admission

I had to give the college specific entrance test that is KIIT Entrance Exam (KIITEE) and upon clearing the test I was called for branch selection process (which was rankwise) in Bhubaneshwar and after selection, I got admission.

Faculty

4

The faculty of our college is quite helpful as well as supportive. Beside solving our academic problems, they help in issues with our hostel if any. They even conduct doubt clearing classes after completing the syllabus as well as discuss previous year question papers which help us in our exams. If we have any doubt or any problem with marks , they are always there to help us. They make us understand the subject well as well as give proper notes.

The highest package was 32 LPA and the average goes to 5-6LPA. The percentage goes to 90 % for placements. After getting degree you can go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
