Hostel Facilities

3.5

No I am not in hostel But Delhi University is one of the most sought-after universities in the country for higher education. Attracting students from all over India, DU also gives them an opportunity to enjoy life and studies in the Capital. It is a challenging task for students fresh out of school to live on their own in a new city. To make things easy, a number of colleges in DU provide hostel facilities to their students. “I have learnt a lot by living in a hostel. Here, we get to interact with a lot more people. We have to sometimes move out of our comfort zones and adjust with other people. Hostel life teaches you a number of lessons which help you in the long run,” says Deeksha Agarwal, a second-year student and my friend from my near college Daulat Ram College. Though living in hostel implies that one has to adhere to a number of rules and regulations and restrictions, there is an element of fun involved that only a hosteller knows about. “I love living in the college hostel. I do miss home sometimes, but the friends I have made here are like my family. A number of activities, debates and discussions take place here, which enables me to interact with a number of people, and about their opinions and perspectives related to various important issues,” says Rajat Gupta frommy college Kirori Mal College.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes Time to time many alumini and seniors comes in college to interact the juniors and share there moments and guide them for there coming future Job hunts, business deals and funding prospects are now increasingly being facilitated over a previously overlooked advantage - the alma mater connect. Take for instance, IvyCamp — a technology-based platform that leverages on the global alumni network. It partners with educational institutions and alumni to connect entrepreneurs with experts, investors, corporates, and other entrepreneurs. This is based on the premise that it is easier to get a foot in the door with your investor if you are from the same alma mater as him/her. Colleges in India too are becoming aware of the benefits an actively engaged alumni can have for the institution and its students. Here are some reasons why you and your college should work towards building an active community of alumni:

Admission

Step1-First you need to register for Delhi university at there offical site Step2-Delhi University upload cut offs of different courses as respective colleges Step3-Now you need check this and match in which Range Your marks are lies Step4 -After this you go in college with some documents as 10th, 12th marksheet, character certificate,, etc Step5-After all this fee processor is online Go to Delhi University offical site and pay the fee

Placement Experience:

After completing the IV Semester, students become eligible to participate in Campus Placements. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, and DeShaw visit campus every year and recruit students. The highest package offered for the Batch of 2023 is 21 LPA, and the Overall Average Package is around 4-5 LPA. But No. of Placements is less due to some factors, such as Companies being fewer the number of visits here, also the Majority of Students opt for a master's. CGPA should be more than 8, to sit in Placements. My Plan is to do a master's if I can't get the placements then Polish my skills to get a job in a reputed company in IT.
