Remarks

SIT has Wonderful Campus and Peaceful Life with Extremely Helpful Teachers but On the Other hand it's Schedule is Like School from Morning 8 to Eve 5 and Students doesn't have Much Time For Their Self Interest.

Course Curriculum Overview

100 yr Old Curriculum should Be Change Now. And Trending Technology Should Enter as Subject Or maybe Branch Not as A Chapter.Industrial Requirement has Changed in Decades but Course Curriculum Has not.

Placement Experience

Placements Are also Not Upto the Mark as Current Recession in Industrial Sectors and Core Companies Visit is Also Very less. Most of Placements depends on Mass Recruiters. Regarding Internships Only For Few Branches it is being provided

College Events

College Annual Fest "HALCYON" completely Organised By Students. Branch Fests Held Once In Academic Year. Separate Competitions Are Organised by Teams In College but Not Specifically Organised By College Association.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Extremely Expensive For Non Karnatakan Students or Students Came Through COMEDK As Compared to Facilities Provided Fee Structure is Very High and College like SIT which are in 3 Tier Town it's too Costly.

Fees and Financial Aid

None Scholarship Provided For Non Karnatakan Students and if One Lie In General Category, Government Also took Hands Off from Students.Loan Facilities are Available but at High Rate of Interest, So Student From General poor Background Are Not Allowed to get Good Education.

Campus Life

Principal is Highly Unsupportive towards Extra Curricular Activities. He Even Rejects To Provide Attendance For Students Who Apply for it. But Then Also SIT enjoy Immense Involvement of Students in Co curricular activities. Mechanical Labs Are Out dated infact Few Machine Are not Working Properly.

Alumni and Senior Are the Life line of SIT, they Help us in Each Every sector from Teachers to Students and Clubs. They Also Help in Placements Secnario By Mock Test And Interview. They also Help In our Projects that involves Various Tasks.

Admission

I Entered By Giving Comedk Exam held All Over India. Exam Is Good But Fee Of Colleges Is Way Too High as Compared to Facilities Provided. Scholarship For Non Karnatakan Students also not Available. And placements Are Also Not Upto Mark

College Faculty Is Very Good And Interactive. They Help us In every ways possible in studies as well as Extra curriculum but As Usual some of them are more strict then required. In the end they have to cope with syllabus so can't blame them as well.

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Experience at College

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester. However the training and pre placement started for student from the first year itself like aptitude training coding resume workshops. The top companies like TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Capgemini IBM tech Mahindra mind tree. The average is 8lpa. The highest 54 LPA. Overall 80% of students get placed in the final year. My plan after degree is to get a good job.

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

- Talking about me choosing this college over other colleges is because Siddaganga Institute of Technology comes in the top 10 colleges in the entire Karnataka and also has an NIRF ranking below 100. - I had applied various other colleges in Bangalore, but my ranking from KCET was 10,072 which was too high as per the cutoff put by those colleges so I couldn't get colleges in Bangalore and I landed in here. - I didn't get any rejections from other colleges as I had a good ranking in KCET exam along with an aggregate of 93.3% in my 12th. It was just the cutoff of the colleges that made me land in this college and I don't regret being here as I am happy that I am in one of the best colleges in Karnataka. - The admission procedure is simple. If you are coming through KCET or ComedK, then the seats will be alloted by the respective board and these students just come with the required or mentioned documents and just come and do admission in here. If the student is coming through Management seat then he has a different procedure. - There is no particular eligibilty criteria for admission in here, just one thing matter is the students rank which must be below the cutoff mentioned by the college. - The exam most preferred by the students is KCET, whose cutoff varies as per the branch they want admission for....Read More

I had got selected to this college based on my KCET EXAM rankings and i had given this college as my preority at 4th place and got it. i was so happy about getting this college and there was no other second thought and joined here.
