We can take admissions through KCET, CAT and Management quota Where KCET cuttoff was 191000 in last round so dont worry about the rank, in this college were 50 govt seats in civil and 60 govt seats in mechanical remains vacant and if you're applying for Btech 1.2L rank is enough to get admission and EEE MECH CIVIL it doesn't matter what your rank is, Admission process done under the kcet regulations. Admissions through Management that is very hard to get in this college so kindly get admission soon before the kcet results/lists and their is a kind of concession for Management admission.

I was scored 81% on the 12th examination and my CET ranking is 33,548. I was applied to Channabasaveshwara Institute Of Technology College and I selected this college in the first round of selection of colleges in kea portal .and I got admission through CET quota in this college and the Admission criteria for Computer Science Engineering through CET in my college is CET rank should be less than 70,000 and above 50% in 12th Examination and age of the student should be greater than 18. I had a very smooth admission process first they mentioned dates for admission before that dates i went for admission and later they asked for all the documents like original marks cards, Adhar, with KEA admission order and they will verify documents by filling forms and also they asked me to sign forms and they sent those forms to university for approval and to the generation of University CEAT Number. This is my Admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose Computer Science Engineering as I was interested in programming and it do have a lot of scope in IT industry and regarding the faculty most of them have Mtech and are from same college. The teaching was good and they used to interact with all the students and approachable. For exams they used to send notes and as UG students we have to read for ourselves to pass the exam and to excel.
Admission:
CIT was ranked the best college in rural area category and Infrastructure is far better than many colleges. Well, bad aspect is it's situated 24kms far from Tumkur making up-down trip long. The admission process was quite smooth as I was a Selected under SNQ Category, well I had to visit college 2-3 times to verify my documents. So make sure you have all the documents while visiting the college for the admission process. I wanted to do my engineering from home so all I had was 3 options (SIT, SSIT & CIT). I couldn't get in SIT and SSIT was deemed so CIT was my only option. College was referred by my sister who completed her BTech this year.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I am choosing mechanical engineering,course curriculum is good,some of the faculties are good and others are quite ok while teaching the subjects,my favourite teacher is majunath ,he teaching very well by giving real world examples and also give many tips for life personally.

Unfortunately, CIT Tumkur doesn’t offer diploma course to the students.
