Course Curriculum Overview

4

- I am an AIML student here, the course is really very interesting as concepts are very new and has a big boom in the future ahead. - Yes, the college curriculum provides basic knowledge regarding the concepts which are required for the real-world applications and future academics. - The main improvement needed is in the timings of college, its very hectic, it starts early morning 8 to evening 5. Like continuously classes are there, one after the other. - Like as said earlier, there are 4 exams, 2 internals, 2 sem-end exams and 2 quizes and also a lot of assignments.

Internships Opportunities

4

- The same companies which come for the placements are the one providing the internships to the students. - The stipend ranges from 20,000 to 1,50,000. - The companies include AMD, Amazon, TCS, Adobe, etc. - There are many projects alotted every year for the students, in 3rd year we have to make MINI project and in 4th year we have to make a MAJOR project.

Placement Experience

5

- The students become eligible for placements from the 6th sem itself. - There are lot of companies ranging from Samsung to Infosis to TCS which provide a package ranging from 4LPA to 34LPA. - Highest Package (This year): 34LPA and Lowest is 4LPA. - Students placement stats: Around 80% students get placed - My plan is to get into a good Product Based Company after my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

- Year Wise Fees I am Paying: 121000 for college and 80000 for the Hostel. - The Tuition fees, Caution fees, registration fees and all change every year and they are dependent on several factors like the category you belong to and through which admission you have come through, like KCET or ComedK or Management. - Like fees for KCET students is 1.2L and for ComedK students is 2.4L and for Management Students it is around 4L per year. - There are no scholarships provided from the college side.

Campus Life

5

- The Annual Fest is done once a year which is called a Halciyon which is ususlly conducted in the month of June every year. - The Techical Fests are also conducted by various branches every year which usually range in the month of April to July month. - Our Library is very huge and there are thousands and thousands of books ranging from every aspect of life, academics, sports, buisness and finance. It also has a seperate study halls for student beside library. - The technological exposure is very good in here. We have well spaced labs and classrooms for the students and a very good teachers for handling students in the labs. - I am a sports freek, and also a team member of our college cricket team. The best part of our college is the sports as there are lots and lots of opportunity for the students in sports, not just in college but also supported the best students for the state and national games every year. - There are almost 40+ social clubs of SIT, these clubs range from literature to theatre and also dancing and music groups. And there are hundreds of students enrolling in these clubs every year.

Hostel Facilities

3

- The hostels aren't upto the mark as the rooms are very small, and the cupboards are very small for the things to keep. - The meal is provied 3 times a day which is edible and the menu varies everyday, I mean there's something different everyday. - The registration process is very simple, the hostel charges in total an amount of 82,000 for an year which includes accomidation + meal.

Admission

- Talking about me choosing this college over other colleges is because Siddaganga Institute of Technology comes in the top 10 colleges in the entire Karnataka and also has an NIRF ranking below 100. - I had applied various other colleges in Bangalore, but my ranking from KCET was 10,072 which was too high as per the cutoff put by those colleges so I couldn't get colleges in Bangalore and I landed in here. - I didn't get any rejections from other colleges as I had a good ranking in KCET exam along with an aggregate of 93.3% in my 12th. It was just the cutoff of the colleges that made me land in this college and I don't regret being here as I am happy that I am in one of the best colleges in Karnataka. - The admission procedure is simple. If you are coming through KCET or ComedK, then the seats will be alloted by the respective board and these students just come with the required or mentioned documents and just come and do admission in here. If the student is coming through Management seat then he has a different procedure. - There is no particular eligibilty criteria for admission in here, just one thing matter is the students rank which must be below the cutoff mentioned by the college. - The exam most preferred by the students is KCET, whose cutoff varies as per the branch they want admission for.

Faculty

4

- Faculty to student ratio: 1:50 - The Faculty student relations are usually good as teachers are humble and very convincing. - The best faculties are Akshata Mam, Ashwini Mam, Manjushree Mam. - I would not like to name the faculties that I didn't like, but the reasons are like they don't teach convincingly to clarify the concepts or doubts of the students. - There are 4 exams in total per year 2 Internal Tests and 2 Sem-End Exams. The difficulties are medium and also they depend on the subject and the faculty as well. - There is almost 100% passing rate. - Course curriculum follow VTU, so its up-to-date

Night Life

5

- Our SIT's campus spreads in 65 Acres which is very huge. The best places to hangout include the huge ground and the stadium, also the temple is another best place and also the library is one for the love doves. - The best part is the walk with friends after the dinner roaming the whole college and having fun with them. - There's also a gym for students in the stadium, also there's a library for students to have some peace area to study. There are 3 canteens available in the campus. - The campus timing is usually morning 6 to evening 10, but for girls the maximum time for them to be in campus is 7:00 pm.
