Remarks

The college is very old but well maintained. As the college is near the gariahat thatswhy the roads are always busy. Transportation is always available and canteen food is also cheap. I love my college.

Campus Life

There is a commerce lab which is the only lab presents in any college in kolkata, there is 2libraries , computer lab and one small basket ball ground. The ground is though small and not well maintained.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are friendly and you can walk freely as the college promotes anti ragging. TCP is only one that is present in the college and they dont even force you in anything to join.Senior students are friendly and you can walk freely as the college promotes anti ragging.

College faculty is good, the staff is helpfull and friendly. They assist us in any way we need. Personally i feel the computer department is the weekest part of the faculty as the computers in labs doesnt work.

The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Course Curriculum is Comprehensive, focused equally on Academics and Practical Exposure.. I chose because of that extra year of research I can choose to do in my final year (4th year) of graduation and I'll have an Hons. Degree at the end of 4th year of my college... Practical insights makes sure we are being trained to tackle practical world and academic knowledge ensures we are eligible to apply for further Education.. I will say more focus on Practical Exposure and a little extra focus on Sports May Take This Curriculum to a different level..
