Likes

Place as it is easy to avail through public transport from any corner of kokkata
Seniors as they r helpful and never talk unnecessarily with us or with a wrong tone
Faculty, SOOO HELPFUL alll the time, even if they have nothing to do with it, still they will be helpful

Dislikes

The "adda culture" outside the college, makes it seem like students go there to have a fun time rather than to study
Union. Everything is alright with union. They DONT force u to join union. But they would go on "michil" hence cancelling the classes for rest of the day

They are the nicest They will guide you in things that they won't get any return from. Sometimes we have problems with the online stuffs the college asks us to do The staff will always help us no matter how busy They are

Fees and Financial Aid

No campus jobs yet, fess structure is very very well reasoned Being agivernemnt college and one of the top commerce college in Kolkata. I can't ask for more from this college The scholarship opportunities are very feasible as well.

Campus Life

Really nice, the seniors are helpful, the teachers r nice, always a positive reaction from the seniors, teachers and even the security uncles and aunties. They will never ever talk with frown on their faces.

Admission

I Didn't take any admission test, process is easy Just type in ur documents and wait for the list and then it is done. For me personally my nake came in the second list As I was not a SC/ST/OBC student But students who scored lesser than me were selected in the first list

SXC is an old pedigree!

Placement Experience:

Companies of all domains like the Asian Paints, EY, Nestle and HDFC Bank among all of them come to SXC. Biggest placements so far has been of 20 lakhs or so when one of the student was placedat such a package in 2024.

Placement Experience:

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

Placement Experience:

EY, PWC, Unacademy, and Deloitte are some of the big names which came last year and has been coming since long. SXC is renowned and placements are great as even B.Com (Hons) have students who have bagged packages worth 20 lakhs or so.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell club which functions in the college itself which is efficient in providing over 67 to 98% of students with placements. This percentage can vary for different years and different courses. The college has been successful in attracting top recruiters like deloitte, wipro, TCS, and leader companies from various other sectors. Packages vary significantly from 4 to 6 LPA up to 24LPA. After getting my degree i am planning to first make sure that i have completed my CA course that i am pursuing alongside. And then going ahead with either a job outside kolkata or open a business in kolkata itself.

Having fun at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum aligns well with the professional courses like CA and CMA. it has a lot of classes like value added course, modern indian language etc. which help us grow overall. The seminars are very helpful. We submit presentations on rela world topics which prepare us beyond the clasroom. It could be improved to reduce the excess theory portions. The frequency and timing is wonderful.

They always come forward to resolve our academic and nonacademic doubts. Their teaching methods are also good. we don't need to purchase any book, their notes are enough for our syllabus.
