Remarks

Staff is not supportive. College is not responsible for anything wrong happend to student in college campus. They do partiality with students. Like kashmiri students get higher marks compare to non kashmiri students. .

Course Curriculum Overview

As you know engineering student have to face approx 200+exams and practical in his engineering life. In college almost every person read at midnight to get only passing marks. In 3rd year we have to study fluid dynamic. I dont know why this subject is taught in electrical engineering.

Placement Experience

Yes, our college provides an opportunity to do internship in top companies like reliance, airtel, ntpc etc. Placement department is good. Job opportunity in college campus is easy compare to get job outside the college campus.

College Events

There are many events celebrated in college. Freshers, Technical festival,(techvenza), Independence day, Republic day, Durga puja, Holi, Diwali, Dashera, Etc. College staff is supporting in this. They provide full facility and provide a good budget for the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In our batch fee is comparatively less. But after 2016 fee is hiked by approx 2 times. It is quite expensive. For general and obc 80000 per sem. And for sc and st 3500 per sem. Hostel fee and mess fee is 12000 per sem.

Fees and Financial Aid

State scholarship is provided for students who are studying in a good university or college. Education loan facilities is also available at a very low intrest rate.

Campus Life

Our college campus was very good and attractive. In winter campus is fully covered with snow and during summer maximum temp is 25-30. They have all facilities like labs sports grounds. We have one football ground, one bascatball caurt, one cricket ground and table Tanis are also provided by college. College also provide cricket kit for students who want to play anf after that they have to submit in common room.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors and alumni are very good. They provide full support to students. Our alumini who are working in a well reputed company and opted a good position prefers nit srinagar students when they have any job opening. for ex mr. Amrinder singh, he is alumni of nit srinagar and working as a Hr in mnc. Every year he comes and select huge no of students.

Admission

I got good marks in AIEEE exam. In counciling I filled this college in my preference. So throw counciling process and after document verification I got admission in this college.

Faculty

Faculty is good but they don't take classes they send m.tech students to take classes.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Nit Srinagar the heaven

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
