Remarks

College are situated at good place in srinagar. It is situated beside the dal lake and hazratbal the college is surrounded be the beauty of the nature greeneries and mountains and the climate is very nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum in NIT srinagar is very good they teaches about every thing given in the engineering syllabus. There will be two exams in every semester 1st exam is mid sem and the last exam is end sem.

Placement Experience

The placement and job opportunities are good but not as good as other nits but the placement is done in many companies like vedants, L&T, infocis, Jsw etc. Yes our college is provid internship but not for all branches. There will be no any stipent in any internship. My overall experience was very good.

College Events

There will be many events celebrated in college such as Techfest, sports, every festivals, different types of compatition. Also in college there will be clubs like dancing, drama, photography, robotics, auto CAD etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure as per the rule of government. When your family income is less then 1 lacks your study will be free and the others have different rule for different income. Also for sc/st condidates have very less fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is given by the central government or state government by applying yourself for that. Loan facilities are provided by the bank there will be sbi and j&k bank they will give you loan by completing all process.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are held in time to time many sports are playing in inter semester sports competition. College labs are very well equipped they provide every thing that we need for our lab practice but also some machines are not working in labs.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network and senior student are connected through college. They are very helpful they support us in every situation. Alumni meets are held in college every year all the alumni are come and intrect with every student.

Admission

Pass the jee main exam than counciling through josaa. When you got seat in college than you go for reporting and verify your documents in any specified college by josaa. After that you have to got to college where you got seat and complete you admission process.

Faculty

The faculties are very good, they are highly educated and very friendly. They clear your all doughts they take classes every day and they also provide notes of their subjects. Out sider as well as local faculty are in college they are very helpful.

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
