St Xaviers is a dream college for most of the students and the environment and exposure that you get might not get in any other colleges. The kind of exposure and experience that a student gains from different events and attending workshops provides an immese opportunity to the student.
Course Curriculum Overview
BMS is basically the management studies of the business and on how to develop new ideas and use those creative ideas in an effective and efficient manner. The exam structure basically comprises of main subjects like Entrepreneurship Development, Financial Accounting, Fundamentals of management and organisational behaviour. These papers gices an exact idea of the working behinds of a the business and gradually in this course different semesters have some different subjects.
Placement Experience
Till now in 1st year I had not encountered any details about job opportunities or placements but I had heard from seniors that they had been placements from JP Morgan, Google, Reliance and other MNCs.
College Events
I can proudly say that our college is a secular college and there is no discrimination on the grounds of religion, caste or any other. We all celebrate the different events related to different religions and also conduct workshops on these religions on to understand the background of the religion.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is feasible. For the morning department the fees is comparitively lower and for the day department and the evening department its more or less the same. Its nearly around 9000 or 10000 for a month.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes I heard that our colleges do provide scholarships toh those excellent candidates who excels in every field but due to some unforeseen lossess cannot co tinue his or her education. In that case you can contact the senior staff and understand the procedures.
Campus Life
Yes we have a lot of extra curricular activities in the college and we also have a dedicated special cell for social work also where in everybody has to devote 90 hours which is a good thing and we have excellent coaches to train the students.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes St Xaviers college has a very strong alumni network and it is very helpfull that if you are connected to the alumni network you all get a lot of preference in terms of recommendation. As well as senior students are also helpfull in different college matters.
Admission
In BMS course you have to appear for an entrance exam and then 50% of marks scored in the exam and 50% marks in the board exam is calculated and then a cutt off percentage is decided. If you meet the criteria then you will be callee for an interview, and when you pass the interview you get the admission.
Faculty
The faculty is very good and experienced and highly qualified. They talk it about the minute details of the subject and always tells us that this teachung is not for the subject but for the life and helps ua to underatand the subject more easily.
