I would recommend you to join EEE at NIT Warangal! Here’s why ECE at MNNIT may not be the best choice:

  • Lack of quality faculty in ECE. It has some of the worst faculty among all branches.
  • Most laboratories are outdated and in poor condition. Half of the instruments don’t even function.
  • If you’re aiming for a core ECE job, MNNIT might not be the right place. Most ECE graduates end up taking IT jobs due to better pay and a scarcity of core opportunities.
  • Very few core companies visit the campus, so you need to be exceptionally talented to capitalize on the limited opportunities available.

Also, just to clarify, EEE stands for Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Civil engineering is currently a better branch than mechanical. Here’s why:

  • In the government sector, the number of vacancies for civil engineers is higher and more frequent compared to mechanical.
  • Civil engineering has more opportunities in the Indian Engineering Services (IES).
  • However, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in civil are fewer than in mechanical.
  • That said, PSUs are increasingly moving towards privatization.

At NIT Warangal, the placement rate for civil engineering is around 50-60%. So, pursuing civil engineering at NIT Warangal could be a good choice!

MNNIT Allahabad offers a solid B.Tech in Civil Engineering with a strong practical curriculum and decent placements, especially for core sectors. However, NIT Warangal's B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering tends to have better overall tech placements and a more robust campus life with various clubs and activities. If you're inclined towards civil engineering and enjoy a balanced college experience, MNNIT might suit you. But if you want to dive into a tech-driven environment with potentially higher placement opportunities, NIT Warangal is the way to go. Personally, I'd lean towards NIT Warangal for its vibrant student culture and better tech connections.

MNNIT Allahabad offers a solid B.Tech in Civil Engineering with a reasonable fee structure of around 95,000 rupees per semester and decent placements, especially for core branches, but the tech placements might not be as robust as in NIT Warangal. On the other hand, B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering at NIT Warangal could provide better ROI since it attracts more tech companies, leading to potentially higher packages after graduation. Scholarships are available at both institutions, but NIT Warangal's reputation could enhance your job prospects. If you’re leaning towards a tech-driven career, go for NIT Warangal; otherwise, MNNIT is still a great choice for civil engineering with good value for money.
