Doing a BCA from LPU has been a pretty good experience for me so far. The faculty here are really professional and knowledgeable, which makes understanding the curriculum much easier. I chose this course because of my interest in computers, and I feel like I’m on the right path. As for placements, around 60-70% of students get placed, and the highest package is around 3.3 CR, which is amazing! I still have a couple of semesters left, but I’m hopeful about landing a good job at a top company after my degree.

I’m currently in my second year of BCA at LPU, and I’d say it’s worth it if you’re interested in computer applications. The curriculum is designed really well to build your programming skills. While I haven’t gone through the internship process yet, I’ve heard from seniors that companies come for placements in the 6th semester, and there’s a good chance to get placed. The average package for my department is around 5-6 lakh p.a., which is decent. Plus, the campus life is vibrant with fests happening almost every month, so you won’t feel bored here!

In my opinion, LPU is an excellent choice for pursuing a BCA! Especially for courses like BCA, where the focus is on practical application, it's crucial to choose a university with a well-structured academic program that emphasizes hands-on knowledge. LPU excels in this area.

LPU prioritizes practical knowledge. Students have the opportunity to provide feedback on every lab session they attend, reporting any issues and suggesting improvements, which are addressed promptly.

Regarding the BCA program at LPU:

  • The curriculum is regularly updated to ensure students are current and industry-ready.
  • There’s substantial training provided before campus placements, which is vital. Ultimately, we all want a good opportunity with valuable exposure.
  • The syllabus is revised and updated every six months.
  • Training in SAP and Oracle, which could otherwise cost lakhs, is offered free of charge due to university partnerships.
  • Additional opportunities include industry certifications, MOOCs, hackathons, and workshops.
