I’ve been studying at LPU for my B.Sc in Nutrition and Dietetics, and I think it’s a fantastic option compared to a SSC level government job. The hands-on approach with practical classes and internships really prepares us for the workforce. The campus is buzzing with cultural events and a diverse student body, which makes it a great place to grow personally and professionally.

Also, after scoring well in the LPUNEST exam, my fees were reduced, which helped a lot. If you’re looking for an engaging career path, LPU is the way to go!

LPU is ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) certified and is the first private university to receive this accreditation. Among the institutions evaluated at ICAR's 22nd Board Meeting, LPU School of Agriculture was approved for accreditation with one of the highest ratings of 3.42/4.

In my opinion, completing a course under ICAR accreditation likely qualifies you for government jobs. However, it ultimately depends on the specific job you are applying for and the eligibility criteria that need to be met.

Good luck!

LPU is the first private university accredited by ICAR!

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is the top agency for organizing, leading, and overseeing agricultural research and education in the country. An ICAR-approved university means it has all the necessary resources like fields, labs, and more. Students have options that include:

  • Positions in the seed, fertilizer, and tractor sectors
  • Government jobs in state government, ARS, banks, etc.
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Research opportunities

You can definitely apply for a government job, and with the way LPU prepares students through specific inputs, you will likely pass the exam and interview! The School of Agriculture offers programs with updated curricula tailored to the needs of agricultural enterprises and key research and development sectors. The School's laboratories are world-class. The dedicated faculty provides hands-on training through live projects (Agricultural work) on university agricultural research farms and practical learning on various agricultural units.

Choosing between a B.Sc from LPU and a SSC level government job really depends on what you want out of your career. I'm currently pursuing a B.Sc in Nutrition and Dietetics at LPU, and honestly, the curriculum is super informative and practical. Plus, the internship opportunities are amazing, with big names like ISRO and Microsoft offering stipends. The fees are manageable too, especially with the scholarships available. If you’re someone who enjoys learning and wants to work in a dynamic field, I’d say LPU is a great choice!
