I would say that doing a BHM at LPU can definitely help you land a high-paying job. The teaching methods are excellent, and I appreciate how the professors are always willing to help. The campus is vibrant, and you get to interact with students from all over India. The placement opportunities are really good, with companies like Radisson and Marriott frequently visiting. The fees are around 80,000 per year, which is worth it for the quality of education and the strong emphasis on practical training.

If you're really passionate about hotel management, LPU is a good choice for a BHM. The course offers a great curriculum, and the faculty is very approachable. They even provide internship opportunities where you can earn a stipend while gaining experience. I felt that the admission process was straightforward, and the campus environment is awesome. The total fees are about 150,000 for the entire course, which is manageable. Plus, the placement record is impressive, with many big hotels recruiting directly from campus.

Dear Aspirant,

Students are securing packages worth 12–15 lakh p.a., while many are starting at 4–5 lakh per annum. The university offers various opportunities, but success also depends on the students, their marks, and skills, which determine their ability to land good jobs.

Top hotels in the USA, such as Hyatt Regency (Maryland) and Great Wolf Lodge (Wisconsin Dells), have selected six students from Lovely Professional University with annual packages exceeding Rs. 15 lakh, along with additional benefits. These selected students will begin their roles as Chef Trainees for Food & Beverage Service in April 2016.

The American interviewers were highly impressed by the students’ exceptional culinary skills, industrial training experience, and serving etiquette.

The selected students include:

  • Sagar Raj from the final semester of the BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology) program
  • Divyani
  • Mohit Sharma
  • Sachin Kapoor
  • Sahil Sharma from BSc Airlines, Tourism & Hospitality

There are several factors that influence your salary.

1. Location: This is crucial in India. For instance, in Goa, salaries for freshers start around 8k, while in major cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, or Delhi, they can range from 13.5k to 18k.

2. Brand: The brand you work for matters significantly. In India, top brands like Oberoi, Four Seasons, and Ritz Carlton offer entry-level pay packages around 13.5k. However, this can vary based on the specific role.

3. Role or Specialization: There are four core operational specializations:

  • Front Office
  • Kitchen
  • F&B Service
  • Housekeeping

When starting a career with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, the salary was 20k.
