For the B.Tech in Information Technology at DTU, the total fees for the first year is roughly 2.29 lakhs. This covers tuition and other necessary charges. I believe it's a good value given the college's reputation for placement, especially with companies like Microsoft and Nvidia visiting for recruitment. Plus, there are several scholarships available for students from low-income families, which can help ease the financial burden.

The total fees for the B.Tech Information Technology course at DTU is around 2.29 lakhs for the first year. This includes tuition and other charges like medical fees and EWS charges. I think the fee structure is quite reasonable considering the quality of education and the placement opportunities we get. Plus, there are scholarships available if your family income is less than 4.5 lakhs, which can help reduce the fees further.

At DTU, the approximate fees for the B.Tech Information Technology program in the first year is about 2.29 lakhs. This includes tuition and some additional fees. I can say it's worth the investment because of the excellent faculty and the strong placement record. Also, if you qualify for certain scholarships, you might get some fee concessions, which is a huge relief!

The fee structure at DTU / NSUT is uniform for all categories of students, with no concessions based on caste. However, there are some fee reimbursement schemes from the Delhi government based on economic criteria:

  • Merit cum Means linked financial assistance scheme for higher education:
    • Families enrolled in the National Food Security Scheme receive 100% assistance.
    • Families with a yearly income of less than 2.5 lakh get 50% assistance.
    • Families with an income between 2.5 - 6 lakh annually receive 25% assistance.
  • Higher education and skill development guarantee scheme: The government acts as a guarantor for any loan taken by a student up to 10 lakh.

You need to apply for these schemes separately; they are not automatically processed by the college.

Regarding NIT Delhi and other NITs, they are under the central government and have a different fee structure. Here, SC/ST/PH students receive a 100% remission on tuition fees, but they must pay hostel fees and mess charges.

Below are the fee details for SC/ST students from last year, 2022.

Hope this helps! Best wishes.
