Currently, the cost is around 1.2 Lakhs per year, which includes Tuition Fees, Infrastructure Development Cost, Maintenance Cost, Alumni Association Cost, and more.
Back in 2013, the college fees for the first year was Rs. 75,000, which later reduced to approximately Rs. 69,000 per year. The total came out to about 2.69 Lakhs for the 4-year B.Tech program at DTU.
Hostel fees are Rs. 18,000 per year, plus a one-time Security Deposit of Rs. 11,000, and an advance mess bill of Rs. 10,000 for 6 months each academic year.
For the exact amounts, you can refer to www.dtu.ac.in/academics.
So, if you're planning to join DTU for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, be prepared for the fees to be around ?232,000 this year. It’s been increasing every year, and I’ve heard that last year it was ?213,000. Scholarships are rare unless you belong to a weaker economic background, so that’s something to keep in mind.
At DTU, the total cost for the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering is approximately ?232,000 for this academic year. I’ve seen the fees rise from ?213,000 last year, which is a bit of a bummer. Unfortunately, I didn’t qualify for any scholarships, as they mainly cater to students from economically weaker sections. It’s something you should consider while budgeting for college!
For the batch joining from the session 2016–2017, the fees have increased to about 6 lakh for four years of study. Here's the breakdown:
For DTU, the fee structure is uniform across all departments.
Note: While the fees may seem high, the return on investment is quite good!
The annual fee structure is uniform across all branches. It has been recently updated for the year 2016 and onwards. Here’s the link for the current proposed fee structure: http://dtu.ac.in/Web/Academics/notice/2016/sep/file901.pdf
Additionally, various scholarships are available, but they change from year to year. Be sure to check DTU's website for more details!
