It varies each year and is influenced by:
The cutoff rank for BE/B.Tech at DTU varies each year, but for 2026, you should aim for a score above 95 percentile if you’re an outside Delhi student. I’m studying Chemical Engineering here, and I got in through JEE Mains after hitting that mark. The admission process is pretty straightforward with JAC counseling, so just keep your scores up!
If you're looking at DTU for your B.Tech, the cutoff rank for 2026 will likely be around 75 percentile for Delhi students and above 95 percentile for those from outside Delhi. I managed to get into Chemical Engineering with a decent rank, but I’ve seen friends struggle to get into tech branches. So, aim high if you want something specific!
For admissions into DTU's BE/B.Tech programs for 2026, the cutoff rank is quite competitive. As an outstation student, you really need to score above 95 percentile in JEE Mains. I ended up in Chemical Engineering, which was my second choice, but the opportunities here are great, especially with placements and internships!
